Advantages Build quality, flat frequency response, excellent value for money

Disadvantages Subwoofer recommended if more bass is needed within a mix

I have the g1 version of these monitors and they are worth every penny. The frequency response is flat and the build quality is robust and sturdy. KRK have been around for roughly 20 years and have always produced excellent quality monitors... they are specifically a studio monitor company after all.

These can be used in a 2.0, 2.1 or 5.1 set up and are recommended for small rooms. If you want more bass without getting a subwoofer i would recommend the rp8 as the woofer cones are bigger which overal produce lower bass frequencies better than these monitors.

A subwoofer would be recommended if you want an overall frequency response.

I would definitely recommend these monitors for any home studio if you want to mix accurately and get your mix sounding good on all sources.
