    If you're looking for a colourful biography of the man who was probably the most hated being on the planet at the end of the first World War, this isn't quite it. As the author makes clear in his preface, it does not claim to be a comprehensive biography, but is a study of his power as Emperor. It is in fact a reprint of a book which appeared in 2000 in 'Profiles in Power', a series by a different publisher altogether.
