I have recently purchased a Karcher pressure washer from QVC. It got trying it out during the 30-day money-back guarantee. The car has been washed twice in as many weeks after months of wearing a grimy overcoat except for the finger marks around the door handles. The wheelie bin has had a spring clean. As well as the driveway and footpath in the front garden, which have been restored to a pristine concrete shade, which we have not seen for a decade.
The washer came complete with a low-pressure 10-bar lance for applying a frothy detergent to those surfaces that need a more than water pressure to clean them, like the first time I did the car. I then used the rotary brush to activate the cleaner and remove the dirt and grime from the paintwork. Afterwards, I used the 100-bar lance to rinse the car and attack the wheel trims.
The path was cleaned with a 150-bar ‘dirt blaster’ lance with a rotating pencil-jet of water to make it more effective. This would be too powerful to use on the car’s paintwork close up.
I am impressed enough that I have decided to keep the washer and in addition I have ordered a fixed 10-bar brush for cleaning around the PVC double-glazing frames as well as the garden furniture and an under body 100-bar lance for removing mud, salt and break pad dust from underneath the car. This will come in handy for clearing out the gutters of my parents’ bungalow.
The washer has its own integral caddie that has places to hang the accessories from so you have all of them at hand when you wheel it to where you need to use the washer.
