Kärcher Kärcher SC1020 + BE

I often buy rugs off Ebayand at Bootsales to sell on as in this day and age it's good to try and have lots of things and idea's to try and make money as I'm self employed I like to try and have fingers in all pies so to speak, but with any enterprise there has to be investment in the idea so I had to buy a steam cleaner to clean the rugs that were being sold on as sometimes I could see they were in good condition but just a little in need of a clean, especially the rugs you get from house clearances or from the auction rooms.

I bought this Kärcher Kärcher SC1020 + BE about five months ago and it has been used weejkly ever since and has stood the hammering it gets when I get a few rugs to clean at once.
I bought mine from a Rockfield D.I.Y. shop for £149.00 but you can buy them from Amazon or from Tesco direct now for £129.00 which is a better bargain than I paid.

You get a floor cleaning tool which looks a little like a vaccum attachment and a hand tool, brush, nozzle and extention poles.
each different attachment is good for different uses and very handy around the house and for cleaning carpets and rugs. I use the cleaning tool for the rugs and the hand tool for cleaning the curtains as steaming gets them very clean and kills germs.
You don't have to take your curtains down to clean them as this can be run over them to clean them. Pushing the cleaning tool across the rug or carpet steams away the dust and leaves the carpet looking fresh and clean there is a noticable differnce in the look after they have been cleaned as the colours in the rugs seem to stand out more.
Its easy to use and easy to store away after use, never leave it with water in after using it.

The steamer holds 1.2 litres of water which goes in a compartment at the top of the cleaner, carefully pour the water in and switch it on the cleaner plugs into the mains and has 1500 watts of heating element inside.
It takes about five minutes for it to get up to steam and then it's ready to go. The water will lasts around 20 to 25 minutes then you have to refill it. Let it cool before opening the water chamber.
The cleaning cloths that come with it don't really last to long and you have to be careful using them on carpets as they wrap around the cleaning head to clean with and can get wrinkled up as you drag the head across the carpet when your cleaning,
These unfortunately have to be bought seperately as they only give you a couple with the machine.

All in all it's a great cleaner it does, rugs, carpets, bathroom tiles, curtains, floor tiles, laminate flooring and lots of other things that need cleaning around the house. Although it comes with a user manual it's easy to operate if you've had one before.
