Advantages: Brilliant, deep down cleaning Disadvantages: the price
To begin with I was very fortunate as this was a prize awarded to my husband from a raffle. There is no way I would pay £350.00 for this cleaner, only due to the fact I couldn't afford it, if I was pretty well off and I knew what I know about it now then yes, it would definitely be on the top of my want list.
The unit itself is very compact, and weighs in at 12.1 kg, so pretty lightweight, because of it's small size it also makes it very easy to store. It comes in the usual karcher black and yellow, which is not very eyecatching but it is only a carpet cleaner I suppose. The unit has 7.5 metres of cable so can stretch a long way, and is particularly useful for the stairs. It comes with a floor nozzle and a hand nozzle which are both stored onboard the unit, and the hose itself is 2.5m long which again means not much stooping ...

Advantages: powerful steam jet, heats up quickly, lots of attachments, easy to use Disadvantages: no safety switch
also has the boys toy feel to it when you fire off a jet of steam which meant that after I had cleaned one area I could resist doing the whole house, then moving onto curtains and then my car seats!
Depending on what you are using the cleaner for there are a series of nozzle attachements pretty much for any type of cleaning. As standard the cleaner comes with a bristle nozzle to help get a deep clean into the pile of the carpet, a window squeegee to wipe down windows (something which does away witht he need for a window cleaner) and towelling cloths for upholstery and curtains. All of the attachments are easy to fit and remove and are made from a hard and very durable plastic in the Karcher yellow you can see in the picture.
Noise levels as the water heats up are acceptable but still lower than the average vacuum cleaner and as soon ...
After 7 years my Bosch pressure washer gave up the ghost, (I left it on overnight without water, which didn't help!)
I thought I would buy a "Karcher", surely best of breed...
I bought a K3.99 from B&Q (£140) after using it for 20-30 minutes it started to leak internally. The connection between the hose and the pump was leaking. I thought maybe it was a misplaced "o" ring, so back to B&Q for a new one,
B&Q obliged The replacement K3.99 did the same after 30-40 minutes!
So I thought I'll buy a better Karcher model K5.00 (£175), after 2 days use pop! the internal connector became disconnected, back to B&Q for a refund.
In summary, it seems that the sudden shock of the solenoid stopping the flow of water puts the internal connection under undue strain. (the (low pressure) hose kicks slightly when you release the trigger ...
