Advantages: Brilliant, deep down cleaning Disadvantages: the price
To begin with I was very fortunate as this was a prize awarded to my husband from a raffle. There is no way I would pay £350.00 for this cleaner, only due to the fact I couldn't afford it, if I was pretty well off and I knew what I know about it now then yes, it would definitely be on the top of my want list.
The unit itself is very compact, and weighs in at 12.1 kg, so pretty lightweight, because of it's small size it also makes it very easy to store. It comes in the usual karcher black and yellow, which is not very eyecatching but it is only a carpet cleaner I suppose. The unit has 7.5 metres of cable so can stretch a long way, and is particularly useful for the stairs. It comes with a floor nozzle and a hand nozzle which are both stored onboard the unit, and the hose itself is 2.5m long which again means not much stooping ...

as the optimum temperature has been attained it gets even quieter leaving just the hiss of the steam through the nozzle as you use it. Again, the boys toy element comes into play but any potential buyer should be aware that the steam that is fired from the nozzle is scalding hot and the trigger has no sort of safety features to avoid you shooting yourself, something I found to my discomfort for days after holding the wand in one hand and trying to retrieve my mobile phone from my pocket.
Overall I am delighed with my Karcher SC1122 Steam Cleaner. My carpets now look like they did the day they were laid, my curtains look spotless and my car seats no longer have any chocolate or drink stains on them. The fact that I don't have to pay a window cleaner now as well is just another in a long line of plus points I have discovered from buying ...

I popped into my local Buck & Hickman trade store when as I decided to buy the KarcherT-300 surface cleaner when I was beginning to tackle larger areas with my pressure washer. The dirtblaster that comes with many of the pressure washers is great for small stubborn areas/stains, but when it came ot cleaning the patio, or decking i needed something that would take care of the dirt & grime and quickly.
The T-300, commonly known as the T-Racer, is a hard surface cleaner accessory available to fit to much of the Karcher series.
It tackles such jobs as driveways, patio, decking, garage doors, fencing etc. Thanks to the handle on the head of the unit it can be used on verticle surfaces aswell as horizontal with no loss in performance.
