Kawasaki Zephyr ZR1100

Kawasaki have built their reputation on sturdy bikes than run and run. The ZR1100 is typical of the companies products.

Don't expect to go at track speeds or to have track handling. The 1100cc engine is big but most of the output is torque rather than power. As the engine is underpowered for its size (under 100bhp) it is virtually bulletproof by way of not being overworked.

Tyres can be purchased cheaply too. Original Dunlops work well.

Comfort is good with a wide and well padded seat. Lack of a screen only becomes a problem on longer journeys.

Overall, a nice bike that is not at the cutting edge but can provide good cheap reliable fun.
