Advantages: Beautifully written, intriguing, wonderfully presented Disadvantages: Not as surreal as other Murakami works
compare.
This book however is quite a departure for Murakami. It's not as weird as his other works but no less intriguing. It's a classic love story with unique spins.
Murakami - a big music fan - plucked the title for this book from The Beatles' song of the same name. A number of his book titles, and even sentences, refer to songs.
The story begins with the said tune being played when a plane lands. This triggers memories of protagonist Toru Watanabe which dive us quickly into the story. Murakami's had accusations of being a writer of junk, but the fact is that Murakami gets to the point straight away; it's welcome finding books that can strongly compete with the distraction of TV and so forth.
"Norwegian Wood" is the favourite song of Naoko, who had been been the girlfriend of his best friend Kazuki back in his student days. This ...
Advantages: A decent job! Disadvantages: Not groundbreaking!
Heat guy is a relatively unknown anime from director Kazuki Akane. There were only twentysix episodes ever made which are combined here in one DVD boxset! This is one of the few anime DVD's to actually get a release inn England and it has done quite well considering it isn't very well known! The animation style combines animation with CGi effects which works very well and has a nice contempory feel about it! I have seen better animation but this wasn't done on a movie budget and so has some flaws!

The series is set not too far in the future. Most of the episodes take place in a city named Judoh which is a mega city. Everything is built up beyond belief. As with most cities there are nice areas and those that are crime hot spots. There is also another secret town beneath the city. The protagonists of this story are ...
Advantages: Bags of scope to personalise your mechs, good storyline Disadvantages: Some over-long dialogue sections drag a bit and sometimes the loading takes a while
Sombody asked me just yesterday to name my top 10 PSone games and amongst other better known titles, I mentioned Front Mission 3, which I felt I should explain a little as she'd probably not heard of it. As I started to explain I realised that it deserved a review, even if it is a bit outdated now. So here we are...

STORYLINE
The year is 2112 and you play Kazuki Takemura who, along with his good buddy Ryogo, is a wanzer test pilot. Wanzers (frequently referred to elsewhere as 'mechs') are essentially large robots with human pilots, the name being derived from the German 'wanderung panzer' which, if my GCSE German serves me correctly, means 'walking armour'. Anyway, is ...
