Well I can assure you that Jodie Marsh's autobiography is really no different!
WHO IS JODIE MARSH? I m sure most people know who she is & other may not know but I will explain anyway. Most of Jodie Marsh's life was spent growing up in a big house with everything she could possibly want & doing what ever she wanted without anyone bothering. Then bang!!! She appeared in a documentary called Essex wives which was basically about rich families in Essex with spoilt kids & ladies that lunch. Jodie Marsh was one of the main focuses of the show with it showing her with her most recent baby faced boyfriend at the time her shopping, clubbing & wishing she was a page 3 model. 1 month down the line she is a fully-fledged page 3 girl giving Jordan a run for her money (or so she would like to think) with the big fake v real argument. Jodie then got papped a lot (to us shot by the paparazzi) in famous bars, clubs & restaurants & with a lot of famous blokes just to add to the famous lifestyle she was beginning to build up. One Jodie had got her name she started to appear in more things & finally appeared on our TV's yet again in The Games, trust me I'm a holiday rep & the most recent Big brother.
WHAT DOES THE BOOK LOOK LIKE? Well considering the big I'm better than Jordan thing it is a wonder to me as to why she ended up copying the whole design of her book. Both first releases where hardback. The paper quality is exactly the same thick & soft & the front & back are exactly the same just a different picture. One side is a picture of Jodie Marsh (trying) to look normal but still in heaps of make-up & then you turn the book over & upside down & there is a picture of her posing at some sort of party or film premier she has been to. The same style & design as Jordan how embarrassing that even their books have to be the same.
THE CONTENTS The book has 19 chapters spanning over 270 pages & 5 pages at the end thanking people. Most of the book is writing except for 3 sections of 4 double sided pages of pictures of herself young & old, friends, family & ex's. Here is a little bit of info about each chapter I hope I don't give away too much information for those who haven't read the book already.
**BABY MARSH** The obvious very self explanatory details about her growing up from a little baby & turning into a young girl. She talks about her family, friends, first experience of school & losing her virginity. **BROKEN** A sad chapter, which lets you into a teenager's heart, soul & mind. The chapter details the first time Jodie Marsh had her heart broken by a boy & experienced bullying to a huge extent. **MR & MRS SLIPPERS** At first you wonder why this chapter is called this as it goes on about her horrid nose job & coming out of herself to appear more confident & lead a more adventurous life. It then swings into her meeting someone & settling down too soon which is where the chapter gets it name I suppose. **BOXING BEAUTY** A chapter devoted to telling us about her past boyfriend who use to be a boxer who she supported & managed for a while, I didn't find this chapter very interesting but I suppose it happened & peoples lives cant be exciting all the time. **MINISTRY OF MADNESS** This chapter was mainly about Jodie's wild clubbing experiences & her first ever visit to a strip club. The chapter was mainly going on about her daring outfits & trying to prove that she has been outrageous all through her life & not just now she's in the limelight. **PETERS ANGELS** Jodie Marsh's first experiences of working as a stripper quite a graphic chapter with a lot of info about her highs & lows but quite an interesting read. **ESSEX WIVES** The whole how it started, what happened & what came of it. A whole chapter on the TV programme that brought Jodie Marsh to fame. **RIP** People who know of Jodie Marsh or have ever saw her on television you will know what this is all about. Jodie always claims to be sad & depressed because of the death of a close friend & this chapter explains who died how they died & how much it broke Jodie's heart it is a very moving chapter. **THE AFTERMATH** Clearly this is the chapter telling you how Jodie picked up the pieces of her life & began to get modelling contracts. **FROM BULLSHIT TO JEFF** A chapter about Jodie changing model managers I don't want to say anymore, as it will spoil it for potential readers. **SIMPLY THE BEST** Another chapter about men, stripping & clubbing this time with a little but more detail that we probably don't need to know. **TO THW MAX** The chapter to read! It tells you about a famous person Jodie used to date & also details how she first met Robbie Williams (romantically or not I'm not telling) **A BIT ON THE D SIDE** A time in a girl's life where she needs another man to cheer herself up & feel good yes on the rebound we've all been there. **THE BIGGEST MISTAKE OF MY LIFE** Probably the longest chapter in the book & the reason I read the book. This was the whole Fran episode, what really happened is he really the pig we think he is & after reading this chapter you'll have to make your own mind up but all I can say is big time loser!! **THE DECISION** Another story well publicised especially at the time of The Games the big baby game does she keep it or not whole scenario. A very touching chapter. **PLAYING GAMES** The chapter about her appearance in the Olympic style programme The Games. **GREAT SCOTT** Another graphic chapter about another one of Jodies men there are a few but that is what has made Jodie famous & it shows in a lot of the chapters. **FEELING BLUE** Another juicy chapter about Jodie's romantic liaisons with another famous lad this time with a mysterious boy from Blue. **THE FUTURE** The final chapter which closes the book by telling us all about how unlucky she has been in love & how long it has been since she last had sex & her hopes & wishes for the future.
There is sooo much more to the book but really don't want to go into to much detail as I'll spoil it for others but all I can say is there are a lot more famous fellas that I haven't included & a bit more bitchiness.
WHAT I LEARNT ABOUT JODIE MARSH Well there are quite a few men she has either had a relationship with or purely had sex with that I didn't know about. Obviously I wont disclose them & spoil someone's evening of reading but there are at least 3 I didn't know about & I consider myself quite up on celebrity gossip. C'mon I do read Heat you know! It was all about men though I did learn a lot about how Jodie was an unhappy child & from some of the photos of when she was younger you can see why. I get the impression that she is very much a tryer & does just want to be liked but has very strong opinions on things & probably doesn't find it easy to back down. She surprised me a lot because she doesn't come over all that clever but once you read the book you can see that she is very clever & she has done a lot of charity work & is a girl that knows what she wants & just goes out & does it. I admire her for sticking with something & pursuing it throughout her career & hope she can find a nice man to share her life & pets with.
WOULD I RECOMMEND READING IT? To be honest probably not its ok but not the sort of book you just can't put down. I really think these sort of books are a real waste of money as they only take a couple of hours to read as they are written so simply but I think it is one of those books you just have to read. Even if your not that keen on her you have to read it to find out about all those men she has slept with because it's like having some gossip that you don't know. If you are a fan of Jodie Marsh then I would recommend you getting it because I do think it gives you a better feel for whom she is & what she has done, as there are things I think you will be surprised at.
WHERE TO GET A COPY I got mine for a Christmas present but you can get a copy from most bookshops, good supermarkets & any online bookshop such as Amazon. You can expect to get a copy for about £8 depending on what offers are on. If you aren't bothered about the quality & just want to read it out of curiosity try & get a cheap copy of eBay. That is what I usually do when they drop I price after they have been out more than 6 months.
Advantages: Juicy book, with tons of gossip! Disadvantages: May set younger readers hormones into overdrive!
I have not wrote a review for a while on here,so I thought i'd give it another go.
I must admit I havnt achully picked up a book for a number of years and after getting back into the swing of things by reading 'Wuthering Heights',I decided that I'd give a book a go that didnt drain me of every tear I had to cry,and would be a little more 'easy reading'.
I picked up 'Keeping it real' on Ebay for 1.60p,which I thought was quite a bargain,as if I ... ...I also thought that the title 'Keeping it real' was a bit of a laugh due to the way Jodie looks!..sorry!
I achully take that back though after reading it thoroughly.
You may wonder who Jodie Marsh is?,Well shes basically a girl thats famous for partying all night, having strings of relationships with celebrity men and basically rivalling Jordan in the 'How much flesh can you flash'? stakes.
This book promised to be juicy reading, and it certainly ...

Advantages: So Honest Disadvantages: I didnt have any
its been so long since i read this book that i totally forget most it but as no one else has reviewed it i felt that i should really be the first one....i am not really such a big reader, i am quite sad like that and only really read "celebrities" autobiographys! Including Jordan, Simon Cowell, Kenzie, Robbie Williams and a couple more but Jodie Marsh's autobiography has been the most real and honest autobiography that i have read to date.
who is ... ...who Jodie Marsh is...she is Jordans rival a well known Glamour model in the UK. She first hit to fame in a documentary following serveral families in essex but she is probably more famous for wearing those infamous 2 belts!! Most recently she has appreared in Channel4s The Games and Channel 5s Trust me I am a holiday Rep.
Ok so now we know who Jodie is.....

Advantages: Very honest, shows her in a new light Disadvantages: Some of the book is very crude
MY OPINION
To sum up this book I would say it was extremely honest and, in my eyes, showed Jodie Marsh (who I thought was a total tart) to be a well brought up girl with a kind caring bunch of family and friends. She seems to be hurt by a lot of people and her media image is nothing like the true her.
LITTLE MARSH
Firstly I am going to talk about the main content of the book its self. Its begins by talking about her up-bringing. ( I do not want ... ...a few bits if I am giving you too much information that it spoils it), back to her upbringing, she comes from a hard working family who due to this hard work are quite financially stable. This led to her having quite a lot of what she wanted but still she is not portrayed as spoilt. During her educational life she worked hard but was still naturally clever, this led to in secondary school, her being bullied quite severely. BOYS!!!!
Jodie really ...

When Jodie Marsh first came on the scene i thought she was another freeloader who wanted to be famous for doing nothing apart forpartying and not wearing much. After reading this book i have learnt that she is intelligent and didn't deserve all the bad press she gets. A star in her own right, Jodie's first taste of stardom was on the TV series Essex Wives and she has gone on to be favourite with the press. From her unhappy school days, her teenage ... ...story.
It tells the truth about her feud with Jordan and her legendary partying antics in her outrageous outfits. She tells of her days as a stripper and Page 3 model and dishes the bare truth on her passionate affairs with a string of famous boyfriends - some we never even knew about! But Jodie has had her share of tragedy and in her frank story she talks for the first time about her best friend Kim, who was murdered by her boyfriend when her baby ...

Advantages: SEE WHAT REALLY HAPPENS THROUGH HER LIFE Disadvantages: TOO MUCH OF A WANNABE!
i didnt really know a huge amount about jodie marsh so decided to buy this book to give her the benefit of the doubt. a lot i read in the book pretty much was the same as in papers and magazines but obviously she gave her side of things and was honest about certain things she had been through. to be honest my opinion is that she is trying too hard to be like Jordan and comes across as a bit of a tart. not appealing to me at all but like i said she ... ...quite detailed about her life from the beginning and is just one of those autobiographys that need to be read to see what really happened. i personally wouldnt recommend it but saying that would probably read any of her other autobiographys if she did publish any more but she doesnt seem to be around much these days!!! ...

The hardback version of Jodie Marsh's autobiography was a Top 10 hit in the summer of 2005. It traced Jodie's dizzying rise to fame as part of the TV series "Essex Wives" to a position as tabloid favourite. From her unhappy school days and her teenaged nose job to her current success, it was her uncensored story, and it will be fully updated to take account of her adventures since the hardback. From the feud with Jordan to the death of Jodie's best friend, the original was the must-read book of the summer and Jodie will be back to promote it all over again. Forthright, sassy, determined and sexy, this is the story of Britain's brightest star.
