It is quite rare that I eat cereal but from time to time I do seem to go through periods of enjoying them for breakfast. One of my favourite cereals is Kellogg's Coco Pops, I have quite a sweet... more

Advantages Advantages For a very tasty quick breakfast

Disadvantages Disadvantages The box doesn't last very long

Both my girls have been a bit under the weather recently with heavy colds. Now they are back on the road to recovery I thought I’d give them a little treat, so for a surprise I bought a large box of Kellogg’s Coco Pops. Now they don’t tend to eat much chocolate, or sweets for that matter, and usually chocolate (especially spread) is a no no at breakfast time, but they do like Coco Pops, so they get a treat every now and then. Kellogg’s Coco Pops come in boxes of 600g for around £2.55, they are also available in smaller boxes too. Inside the yellow box, with ‘Coco Pops’ written in brown on the ... more

Advantages Advantages tasty, a great source of energy, a well balanced breakfast

Disadvantages Disadvantages a little expensive for what they are

About time for me to do another cereal review me thinks. Some of you who are my regular readers will of caught on now that I like my bowls of cereal in the mornings before I start my day. This review is all about the great tasting and well known cereal Kellogs Coco Pops. Not only suitable for children but for big kids and us adults too. why certain cereals are classed as for children I am not sure cos I know adults still like em too. Anyway onto the subject then. Coco Pops are chocolate toasted rice grains. They are just like Rice Krispies only they are covered in chocolate. After a short ... more

Advantages Advantages Tasty, crunchy, appeals to children

Disadvantages Disadvantages A bit too much sugar

I always try to eat breakfast in the morning before I rush out to work, and I try to get my children to have something to eat in the morning before leaving for school. My eldest child usually has Shredded Wheat or Shreddies and my middle child occasionally has Weetabix or Shredded Wheat but more usually opts for Coco Pops. I hate cereal that is too sweet or sugary and usually opt for those where the adding of sugar is optional. Morning in my home is very busy, my husband, myself and 3 small children to be organised. I don't have time to debate with my son the merits of choosing Shredded Wheat ... more

    Advantages Advantages Very tasty

Disadvantages Disadvantages not the healthiest thing to have

Kellogg's Coco Pops Kellogg's Coco Pops have been around for a good number of years now and are always something that I wanted Mum to buy when we were growing up. Of course she hardly ever did and now because of that I am making up for lost time by getting them when ever they are on special offer (this due to the fact that at nearly £3 for a large box they are rather expensive). At the moment they are on offer in our local newsagent type shop at £1 for the smaller box which contains around 200grams but these boxes don't tend to last very long at all in our house. This however is a reasonable ... more

Advantages Advantages Full of vitamins, extremely tasty

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Expensive

If you have read my previous review on Tescos Fruit and Fibre then you will have realised that I am not a massive fan of eating breakfast but I am trying to be healthy and rather than snack on biscuits mid-morning with my cuppa I am really trying hard to eat my breakfast before I leave the house of a morning and then last until my lunch. I am slowly working my way through a variety of breakfast cereals and although I have eaten them before I am deciding to give Kellogg’s Coco Pops a chance! They are extremely eye catching on the supermarket shelf and so ~I grabbed a box during my weekly shop ... more
