Kelloggs Nutri-Grain Strawberry Morning Bars They are described on the box as: A soft golden baked crust made with wheat, wholegrain oats and a strawberry filling. Packaging On the shelves they are usually stacked in recyclable boxes containing eight 37g bars. The box is of an attractive design, mainly red in colours. The text is centred and clear to read and understand what flavour the bars in the particular box are. It displays what each bar contains (calories. fat, sugar, saturates, salt).Kelloggs have emphasised some key points about the bars: Source of fibre; wheat and wholegrain oats; ... more

Kellogg's Nutri-grain Strawberry Cereal Bars I have been struggling over the past few months to try and find something that Jack will eat for breakfast. It seems at nearly 2 ½ he has gotten into the bad habit of not eating what I prepare for him. He will often ask for some jam on toast and I will dutifully make it for him and then he will just point blankly refuse to eat it and then moan an hour or so later that he is hungry. I thought about these bars as they are promoted as being fairly good and I was sure I had seen adverts where they say about eating them for breakfast. To start with I ... more

Advantages Advantages Sweet. Fruity. Price okay. Calories okay. Easy to eat on the go.

Disadvantages Disadvantages Don't like the outside layer much.

Being consistently on a diet....or at least it feels that way at the moment...I'm always looking for healthy snack options that I can take to work with me. My shifts start at 7am and sometimes it feels a little to early to be eating breakfast before I leave the house at 6am - and so I often like to take something to work with to munch on in my break. One such snack I tried recently was the Kellogs Nutrigrain Soft Bake Bar (Strawberry) that came in a box containing 12 of the bars. I bought them from Tesco and 12 x 37g bars cost me £3.68 - which equates to just under 31p each. I have heard ... more

Advantages Advantages Handy to always have these in, if you havn't got time to make breakfast

Disadvantages Disadvantages Bit too sweet for me

I used to buy these nutri-grain bars all the time as I never had time for breakfast in the morning before I left for work. I used to eat my nutri-grain bar in the car driving to work, but now I take some toast and eat it cold when I get to work. I got bored very easily of these bars even though I used to vary the flavours I bought. They are all basically the same with just a bit different fruit flavour filling in them. These come in a box of 8 bars, and cost around the £2 mark. I think this is quite cheap for a weeks worth of breakfasts! They are all individually wrapped in foil to keep them ... more

There's always various Cereal bars in our cupboards since the wife is trying to eat healthier, she got a pack of these the other week, and I have got a bar with me in my lunchbox. This is the first time I've tried them, although they have been out for years. You get these in quite a few different flavours, but it is the Strawberry ones that I'm reviewing. You get these in an 8 pack and I don't think they are that cheap considering they cost £2.42 from our local Sainsbury's. The box looks alright, and the bars are individually wrapper. The wrapper is easy enough to open and it is a sort of foil ... more
