Advantages: smells and tastes just like freshly 'perked' coffee Disadvantages: none - forget the price, its worth every penny
...away the best option is KENCO Instant coffee granules. I can remember those TV Ads with the Kenco coffee rep touring the South American bean farms, “But here try this” as she hands him a cup of Kenco instant. “it’s the real thing”. OK, I know that catch phrase was from the Coke adverts, but surely you remember – you know what I mean. But does it live up to expectations and the hype? Well, as someone who has suffered ... ...coffee to be….well, coffee. And Kenco appear to cut no corners. It does taste just like ‘perked’ coffee. Just add three quarters of a teaspoonful to your cup, pour on boilng water, add milk (I find I prefer sterilised, full fat milk – or cream), sugar if you need to and enjoy. My wife used to make coffee by putting milk into the cup first, then adding the coffee and water – often having bits of ‘stuff’ floating ...

Advantages: Quality coffee Disadvantages: not the greatest smell, but don't let it put you off
...buy a separate jar of Kenco Really Rich to keep at her house, but my well meaning mother still insists on buying me Kenco Rapport (Much cheaper than the other Kenco’s – there’s the warning), forgetting about the last time she bought it and how dusty it became because I wouldn’t touch it unless I was desperate. You can buy Rapport in a jar or in little packets that contain a cup sized amount. Either way, it tastes much like ... ...to the taste buds. My Kenco of the month is the Really Rich one in the blue jar, with a blue label and a blue lid. I have to change my coffee regularly otherwise it all starts to taste samey and boring, so another nice coffee is the Smooth one in the red jar (Both cost about £2.35 for 100g). I’m a blue jar gal mostly because I like my coffee strong but the best and strongest of all the Kenco’s are those in the world range: Colombian, ...

Advantages: Nice taste. Nice aroma. High quality Disadvantages: A tad more expensive than some other brands
Today Kenco Instant Coffee is owned and produced by Kraft Jacobs Suchard but theorigins of Kenco Coffee Company goes back to 1923,when it was established by a co-operative of Kenya coffee growers, in order to distribute high quality coffee beans to Great Britain. They set up a popular coffee shop in Sloane Square and founded a mail order firm, John Gardner (London) Limited,to supply the increasing number of hotels and restaurants in London.
In 1987 ... ...Coffee and in 1999 Kenco Rappor instant coffee was launched.
In the year 2000 Kenco introduced their Purely Organic Instant Coffee brand which I have yet to try.
I find both their Rich Dark and Rappor instant coffees to be quality products and among the very best instant coffees available in the UK. Rappor comes in three jar sizes, viz, 23 gr,100 gr and 200 gr and I usually buy the 100 gr jar. In my view this is a nice tasting coffee and is a premium ...

Advantages: Great tasting coffee Disadvantages: Still not as nice as tea
...the splendidly smooth and rich Kenco .... Mmmm, deliciously refreshing.
Mrs D on t'other hand absolutely despises tea and everything about it - the taste, the smell, the appearance, the very idea of it - and consequently we very rarely get to sample the brew in our house because she just refuses to make tea for me. You know what it's like, you always want what you can't have and don't want what is sitting on a plate for you.
You maybe understand ... ...a bad person.

Kenco Costa Rica Freeze Dried Coffee 100g - £3.09

Advantages: Lovely real coffee taste. Excellent price. Disadvantages: Not a lot!
...that he is absolutely correct. Kenco really DOES smell like a good coffee should. In fact, I’ll have to tread carefully or I could easily end up with yet another addiction, and I’d look a bit strange driving around in my taxi all day with a jar of Kenco stuck up to my snout! ~ ~ I take my coffee in a standard sized mug, with two and a half teaspoons of coffee, and three and a half teaspoons of sugar. (In fact, I’m taking a break ... ...OK, I’m back, and the Kenco tastes as good as ever. In fact, unless someone told you differently, I reckon you’d be very hard pushed to tell the difference between Kenco and a ground coffee. They advertise on the jar that Kenco is a “superior quality instant coffee” and that they only use the very finest Arabica coffee beans in its production. I believe them! And it’s not too often I take what companies say on face value!

Advantages: Tastier than most decaffs Disadvantages: Still not as tasty as real coffee
...It has long been said that it is impossible to produce a deccaffeinated coffee without losing the strong flavours inherent in real coffee. This seemed to me to be a very sad state of play and so, with this in mind, I recently decided to try one of the more expensive and respected brands on the market in order to dispel the myth. Read on to see whether I succeeded (although I know that the title is a bit of a giveaway)
These days everybody is a coffee expert and so it is easy to dismiss everything that is not either percolated or sold by a high street coffee store to be of inferior quality. Kenco have, however, throughout this period still managed to maintain a respected position at the top of the instantcoffee and so it was their product which I opted for.
And so I popped down to my local supermarket and paid the princely sum of £2...

Advantages: Great taste, good value for money Disadvantages: Expensive but all coffee is nowadays.
...As you go out shopping for the weekly shop you will prabably have coffee on your list. I would recommend Kenco and this is why...
TASTE
Subtle and calming but too much in one cup is too strong. A small teaspoonfulin a mug should do the trick.
WHERE TO HAVE IT
It is the perfect coffee blend for having as an accompanyment to dinner parties and a great drink for when you are reading.
PRICE
In general, a small jar of this coffee retails at around £1.50 but you can get it cheaper from places like Costco and Home Bargains.
PRODUCT INFORMATION
The product is made by the Nestle corporation who also make other brands like cheerios breakfast cereals and well known chocolate bars.
MY POINTS
Although this coffee is not the cheapest on the market I find it fresher and tastier than any other brand. It is great...

Advantages: it does actually taste like the real thing Disadvantages: eventually the body learns that there isn't going to be a coffee buzz.
...me to try it, on an occasion when there just wasn't anything else to drink. I found out that it does in fact taste just as good as the real thing. Going on taste alone, I don't think I could tell the difference between the caffenated and decaff versions of Kenco, which is convincing in itself. Now, the big thing with coffe after the taste, is that buzz you get, that lift. Oddly enough, if you have been a coffee drinker, your body responds in much the same way to decaf - the affects seem to be at least partly psychological. Repeated use, so that the body learns that coffee taste cannot be associated with the imminent arrival of a stimulant, will decrease this effect, but to help you over those initial cravings, it works well.
Kenco decaff is much the same price as 'proper' coffee: It has the same rich taste, it disolves as well...
