New apple iPod Shuffle docking station

Advantages: very small
Disadvantages: need a pc to charge (unless you buy a USB charger)

This docking station is used with the new tiny Apple Ipod shuffle. As you might imagine, the docking station is also extremely small. The docking station has two purposes. The iPod can be placed into the station in order to be charged. The other end fits into a USB port on your PC. You also need to use the docking station if you want to upload new music onto your iPod. This works in the same manner. As soon as you plug the docking station into the PC the Apple software loads. If you buy the new iPod shuffle then the docking station comes with it. However, if you lose it/break it (not easy) or want an extra one then you can buy it from many places. The best place is probably online as this is where you can buy it cheapest. Advantages: Recharges and plays at the same time
Disadvantages: The Volume defects

First off the base is lit so your able to dock your IPOD in the dark allowing you to place it sight unseen. This is absolutely an essential accessory for the iPod,which includes a remote, an AC adapter and a cable to plug the dock output into your stereo.Simultaneously recharging the iPod battery You can hook up your iPod and play it through any stereo through RCA connectors, taking advantage of the amplifier and speaker system. This has good quality sound and works great ,but it has seperate volume adjustment for the DOCK! the supplied remote controls volume for both the dock AND the ipod volume, and you have to make sure both are up all the way. Before you insert the ipod aim the supplied remote at the dock and push the volume + button on the remote. The manual doesnt say anything about this but oncethe odd volume setting ...

Bose Docking Station is Superb! Tidy, Elegant with great sound!

Advantages: Smart and tidy with excellent sound quality
Disadvantages: A little heavy

We needed a new docking station and immediately we thought 'Bose', knowing that this was, in our opinion the best quality. Our Ipod was one of the cheaper ones but it makes no difference to the output of sound when in this docking station. It is Fantastic! The acoustics are great, base amazing and as the station is a little heavier, it is safe to place anywhere even with a toddler knocking the table every five minutes! It has a sleek design that looks perfect in the modern home. The sound is amazing! it has an easy to use compact remote control, which fits perfectly in your pocket. So while you are out having a BBQ in the garden and want to turn the sound UP or Down, it is simple and easy to do. You can also adjust the volume on the station with ease. Even at a high level, the sound comes out perfect...not distorted at all ...
