...This is one incredibly small USB2.0hubs. It's about as big as a credit card (albeit a bit thicker), and it's very convenient to carry around - perfect for laptop users.
What I like the most about this hub is that the cord actually retracts into the hub itself when not in use. The downside to this is that the cord is extremely short - about a cm or two long. However, this didn't really pose a problem to me. If you need to place the hub further away from the computer, a USB extension cable is provided.
This is a powered hub, that means you could plug in the provided AC adaptor if your USB devices need more power. I've used a variety of products with the hub (pen drive, USB hard drive, wireless keyboard, webacm), and everything worked like a charm.
If you are using a desktop, it might be better to get a USBhub that comes with more...

...The sitecom 4portUSB2.0pockethub... probably the most useless thing I have ever bought.
As USBhubs go, this one looks pretty reasonable, was priced fairly and the box led me to believe it would do what I needed from a USBhub, which i the same thing I would expect all USBhubs to do.
Well I couldn't have been more wrong.
On first impression it seemed ok. I plugged it into my pc and then plugged my USB mouse into the hub. Not a problem... everything as it should be.
So that was that. I'd bought the hub and I was happy with it.
No for long though. The surprise came when I plugged in my USB jumpdrive. The drive would not work and neither would the mouse. This seems to be a common occurance with having more than 1 item plugged into the hub.
Email communication with Sitecom was most interesting. I was told by them that in most cases...

Advantages: Small, USB2 Disadvantages: Spacing of the USB ports
...USB has been a fantastic leap forward in the way we connect stuff to our computers. In fact, it's so good that it's almost become a victim of it's own success.
Looking in my laptop bag, I've got a USB flash drive, a USB smart-card, a USB hard disk and a USB mouse - all of which I use on a regular basis.
Looking at my laptop, I've only got 2USBports. Yes, USB is pretty good at plug'n'play so adding/removing devices isn't a huge problem. There are times, however, when I need to have more than two devices plugged in at the same time. I need more USBports!
Until laptop manufacturers see fit to build in more USBports, I'm going to stick with my Belkin 4-portUSBhub. Costing £20 from PC World (and probably a lot less form anywhere else), it's small enough to carry around, has it's own built-in cable to connect to the PC and comes...

I treated myself to this as I discovered that my new laptop only had 2 USB ports, and I had an awful lot more than that in the way of equipment I needed to plug in. After researching what was available, I decided on this one as not only was the price... more
