One end is looped to itself, so that the other end can be tied into a hole in the table or table leg (or some sort of fixed hole elsewhere) and through this loop to secure the cable to the fixture. The other end, the lock slots into the hole in the laptop and by way of key, secures it into place. The Cable itself is made of galvanised steel, ... ...material giving it both flexibility and strength. This cable is about 1.5m in length.
Two keys come supplied with the cable, so it is always useful to keep one securely hidden someplace if the primary one is misplaced. Securing the laptop and taking the cable off is very easy, just the same as opening a door.
