My general experience of Kentucky Fried Chicken, mainly limited to outlets in Malaysia, Singapore and the UK,has been not very good.Indeed knowing of the simply marvellous chicken dishes in Asia such as Chicken Tandoori,Chicken Madras, Chicken Tikka,Thai green curry, Hainanese chicken rice and Indonesian/Malaysian Nasi Ayam I am little short of amazed that so man young Asians flock to KFC outlets every day.
Frankly I do not believe the product compares with the many fine European and Asian chicken preparations. Indeed ,I much prefer the chicken dishes that are nowadays obtainable in some other fast food chains such as Nandos, which have become very popular in Malaysia just as they have in the UK.
I find KFC’s chicken to be barely palatable, the mashed potato, which is prepared from the powdered variety, to be almost unpleasant, the soft bread rollls of poor quality but I do give the coleslaw a reasonable rating.Portions are I suppose satisfactory. Sometimes, however, I have found that the chicken is more than a bit soggy having been cooked some time previously.Price wise the product varies from country to country but in Malaysia the 3 piece dinner plate costs around US$2.50, not that cheap but neither outrageously expensive either. The service is none too grand- I have found that far too often the restaurants tend to be staffed by very inexperienced workers who to me do not appear to have been very well trained in the needs and requirement of customer service in the fast food industry.
Now,of course, there are some cons. Generally the outlets are bright and breezy, colorful , and reasonably hygienic. I suppose too, for young Asians, the "...grass is greener on the other side ..."syndrome,may well apply. The food is certainly very different from classic Indian, Thai, Malay ,Vietnamese or Korean cuisine.
The company also mounts a pretty powerful promotion campaign and also has a number of offers that attract youngsters, with their tacky toys. Still for this old timer- I wont say how old-but I was around when the old King was still on the throne, it is most certainly not my ’’cup of tea’’.
Advantages: Nice food, nice extras Disadvantages: Slow, unhealthy, bad range of food.
For one of my favourite meals, I like to get myself a takeaway filled full of KFC chicken.
Sounds reasonable enough doesnt it? Provided you like Chicken.
But what else do they sell?
Well not a lot im afraid!
If you dont like Chicken, you are stuck. Saying that they do offer a wide range of ways to cook it.
I personally like to purchase one of their larger products called the "bargain bucket".
It used to be aptly named but has recently changed ... ...them to Trades Description Act!
Firstly at £9.99 its no bargain.
Secondly it no longer comes in a Bucket. Read on....
I can remember buying a Bargain Bucket in the past.
Now this comes with the following:
8 Pieces of Chicken,
4 Portions of Fries
Barbeque Beans
Coleslaw
A bottle of drink or a Vienneta.
This costs £9.99 and used to come in a paper bucket. Now it comes in 2 fold up boxes.
It is a good deal for a family of 4 but you never ...

Advantages: A better selection od food and drinks than most fast food restaurants, at far better prices. Disadvantages: No chicken alternatives (obviously), nothing for vegetarians, food not consistently good.
...until I went to a Kentucky Fried Chicken fast food restaurant some weeks later that, though devoting an entire restaurant to a particular type of food does seem odd - the idea is actually quite common. So how well do KFC fare in creating an entire fast food chain along the lines of variations on chicken? The chicken comes in three forms - burger, bites or bucket. The burgers usually contain a chicken fillet - whole meat and far less processed than ... ...tomato, mayonnaise and a choice of various others including cheese or spicy sauces. The bigger burgers, 'towers', usually have a hash brown and yet more filling sandwiched between a fluffy bun. Personally, I'm not a huge fan of burgers due to the high salad content, but my girlfriend is a big fan of KFC burgers and invariably chooses these. The bites include a number of different meals. The recently launched 'popcorn chicken' mercifully does not ...

Advantages: Tasty occasional take-away Disadvantages: High fat and salt, glitches in standards. Chicken only.
This BRIEF review is limited to a 'Colonels Meals' at the Wallsend branch of KFC.
Every so often we do not feel like cooking so I pop down to the local KFC for a 2 or 3 piece Colonels meal.
**** Colonels Meal
The meal consists of 2 or 3 pieces of chicken, small fies and a 'small' fizzy drink. However Wallsend will always let us have a small coleslaw instead of the drink.
**** Surroundings
The shop is usually very clean and the decoration is ... ...turns out to be a single queue system by default.
Often the staff inflict their dreadful taste in over-loud pop 'music' on their customers and make waiting a real trial if it is busy.
**** Service
The service is always as quick as they can make it and quite cheerful, and the friers manage to keep up with the queues even on the very busy Friday night. Communication is difficult when they have their awful 'music' tuned up. There is the odd glitch ...

Advantages: Top taste and value for money Disadvantages: None
Kentucky Fried Chicken - wow, excuse me a moment while I mop my brow and try and stop drooling - but even the thought of it makes me come over all weak at the knees !!
I'm greedy - very greedy and to be honest I'm more than a little overweight at the moment, but I just can't help it. I tell myself that chicken is a low fat alternative to other foods, but at the end of the day I'm really just in denial that it's junk food all the same.
Here at work ... ...Friday - we struggle on Wednesday and Thursday - so ideas please !! Well, Friday has to be the most popular of the three because the general opinion in my office is that the variety available from KFC, the prices and the taste knock spots off the competition (sorry - there is no BK near enough to compete !!).
So what do we get for our money ? Well there are no veggies in our little (or not so little if I am an example) group - so we disregard the ...

Advantages: yummy chicken Disadvantages: very big queues
The nearest Kentucky to me is nearly an hour away so every time we go up there shopping it’s always a group trip to Kentucky!
No matter what time of the day I go there’s always a queue. Not just a little queue either, usually it’s right out the door. It’s only a little place and the staff don’t tend to break their backs rushing to serve people so if you want to eat there you have to be prepared to queue. Because they ... ...finally get your meal. Kentucky food is much better than Burger King or McDonalds but still priced around the same. You can buy big meals if there are lots of you with immense amounts of chicken in, yum.
So, got food and table, now eat. You have to eat with everyone who’s waiting for a table watching, usually drooling. Now that you have your table take your time and show them that you are enjoying the food immensely. Make the most of it. When ...

My all time favourite has to be the Chicken Supreme and I always opt for this one, it would be good if Pizza hut rotated there menu a little bit more with some different flavours, as it can be tiresome offering the same products all of the time.

Advantages: Good price, nice chicken. Disadvantages: Chips are normally nasty, long queues, dirty tables to sit on.
KentuckyFriedChicken is a fast food outlet that specialise in variations of chicken. There are the chicken burgers, chicken wraps, boneless chicken, chicken drumsticks, chicken breasts, lots of different varieties basically which should mean that providing everybody likes chicken you should be able to get something for the whole family from one place.
The chicken is coated in a blend of spices and herbs that has been their secret recipe for around 80 years and is just something that I can definitely never achieve myself at home or even come close to!
The prices are pretty reasonable with a basic meal starting at around £3.50 and for this you will normally get some pieces of chicken or a chicken burger, wrap etc with a side of fries and a drink (coke, fanta etc).
The chicken is very full of taste and the herbs and spices are just ...

Advantages: Delicious Disadvantages: Cannot think of any.
Colonel Sanders’ KentuckyFriedChicken is known and loved in 82 countries and it all began in 1952 when a 65 years old gentleman used his Social Security cheque of just $105 to start the KFC franchising business that we know today. In 1986 PepsiCo inc bought the KFC franchise for a reported $840m although the Colonel only got $2m for his business in 1964.
In actual fact it really all began before then as the early death of his father left Harland Sanders as a six years old head cook and bottle washer in the Sanders household, where by the age of seven he had mastered many local dishes. Between then and his fortieth birthday Harland worked in at least a dozen different jobs and finally ran a service station in Corbin, Kentucky. It was here that he began to cater for the weary travellers by cooking them meals to be served on his ...
