--there is only an on/off switch, so there are no "power up" options if it begins to labour or gets stuck.
--the blade unit is a one-piece part, exceptionally difficult to clean.

Advantages: It's cheap. VERY cheap. Disadvantages: It doesn't do--satisfactorily--anything a blender should.

Kenwood flunked, so much so that now I don't think I'd be willing to spend a couple hundred pounds on their Pro line of appliances such as the Kenwood Chef stand mixer. I didn't intend to substitute this blender for a food processor. I did, tho, believe it would handle softer food mixes such as smoothies and salad dressings. Advantages: Size of Jug Disadvantages: Everything else.
This blender was not really cheap but it is terrible. When you switch it on it vibrates across the surface so you have to hold it. It then unclicks the jug and therefore stops, so you have to hold it gently and go with the flow! If you more than 1/3 fill it, it shoots the liquid out of any gaps at the top which seem many when you have hot chocolate spraying round your kitchen and on you. The lid also moves around by itself sometimes so you have to ... ...an 'oil trickling spout' which is more of a large hole letting loads of oil through in one go. You cannot make small amounts as the blades are so high. One yoke for mayo does not even come close to the blades.
It goes so fast that whatever you are blending anything thick or not liquid it gets stuck round the sides and never gets a change to drop back into the blades. As far as I can see it does not have a safety catch so I think you can run the ...

This blender is suitable for only making dry powders but when I use it for grinding soaked pulses , I'm not getting a smooth paste , also it gets heated quickly and I have to run it some 4 to 5 runs. so in my opinion this ...

What a wonderful piece of equipment!
I got this marvellous machine for my birthday (after months of dropping hints) and am absolutely thrilled.
As one would expect from the Kenwood brand this machine is a joy to have in the kitchen. Previously I... more
I'm not really that much of a cook however when I do prepare things I like to have all the relevant gadgets I need.

This food processor was a replacement for my last Kenwood that expired after over 25 years of use.
The motor is housed beneath the bowl and this makes it very compact, and I am keeping it out on the worktop, the previous model was a big cream ugly thing more
This was initially an impulse buy but in 6 months of use is now a necessity.
