(+) The best bread you will ever taste, on a timer just ready in time for breakfast. (-) If you can't wait since it smells so good... you might burn your fingers like me!

I have had my Kenwood breadmaker for about 4 months and I have to say that I have been very pleased with it.
I had looked at the more expensive breadmakers but decided on the Kenwood as I have other Kenwood products which Im very happy with.
To start with it's a good size, not too big and doesn't take up a lot of room on my work surface.
It's very easy to use, particularly the timer which I use a lot as I like to bake during the night using off peak electricity.
Initially I used the recipes provided with the machine but was disappointed. So I bought a breadmaker recipe book and I've been delighted with all of the results. From the basic white and wholemeal to the flavoured breads and rolls they have all been a great success.
There are two metal clips which hold the baking pan in place and I found these quite tight at first but they have gradually slackened off with use.
Overall I think the Kenwood BM250 is very good value for money and I would recommend it as long as you don't use the recipes provided.

I STRONGLY RECOMMEND THAT YOU DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT.
I bought a BM250 in Jan 2008. The electronic programmer failed in October 2008 and ,as instructed, I took the breadmaker to the nearest Kenwood approved repairer on November 14. Despite repeated phone calls I am still waiting for the machine to be repaired 12 weeks later.
The Kenwood customer care centre take upto 45 minutes to contact and I have now given up and bought another breadmaker.
DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT IF YOU ENJOY HOMEMADE BREAD.

Actually it is the Kenwood Mini Chopper but that was not quite so catchy.
The Kenwood Mini Chopper is one of the handiest gadgets in my kitchen (and I love gadgets).
The marketing blurb says that it is useful for chopping nuts, meat and fish,... more
