Advantages: good for small quantities, small to store, cheap Disadvantages: none so far
This is a minichopper which is really useful if you just want to make a small quantity of something like pesto or houmous, or just chop an onion.
It is inexpensive (I paid £19.99 for mine) and doesn't take up too much space in the kitchen. Its maximum capacity is 350ml or 150g.
It has two speeds, though I must admit I don't use the lower speed much. It's not that powerful - it has a 300w motor, but it chops things like carrots really evenly, without a slush at the bottom.
It has a nice design with a cute curvy bit where the motor is and the bowl bit is one of those rounded ones. It is a bit of a faff getting the bowl back in after you've taken it out, which is a bit annoying. The blade is stainless steel and you can put the bowl in the dishwasher.

Ciao members have rated this review on average: very helpful Review of Kenwood CH 180
Advantages: small, easy to use, easy to clean, doesn't take up much room. Powerful chopping action for its size Disadvantages: no good if you want to do huge amounts all in one go.
When my son was weaning, I wasn't one for gadgets, I made him my own meals, and tended to mush everything with a fork, which can be hard going when you want a very smooth meal.
After moving house, and having a bigger kitchen, I do a lot more cooking (I love it). I wanted to buy a small chopper that I could use for making breadcrumbs, chopping nuts, herbs etc. I only wanted a small appliance.
I had a look around and I found the Kenwood in Boots. It had 20% off too, which is great. I know the reduction was held at least until Christmas 2000.
I have used it for breadcrumbs, vegetables, chopping onions, herbs, nuts for my cakes and grinding down sugar.
This is one gadget that would have been brilliant when weaning my little boy. Chopping all his fruit and vegetables would have been easy.
The chopper consists of a small ...
Advantages: Very Handy, Small, Dishwasher Safe, Practical Disadvantages: Noisy, Not to Be Extensively Used At One Time
The kenwoodminichopper is a great mini food processor! It does the job of a food processor but it is a lot smaller so it is more convenient to use in a domestic household! It can pretty much cut through anything with ease and is completely safe it that respect, there is no risk of small children disambiguating themselves due to finger insertion! The chopping blades will only engage once the lid has been clicked into place, this activates the security latch; thus providing absolutely no method of children hurting themselves! If you don't put in enough of whatever you are chopping, it has a habit of giving it one blow and everything gets splatted to the side as there is not enough in there! (Particularly with fruit) Another problem is it can be quite hard to clean out as the blades are very sharp!!! The KenwoodMiniChopper is also safe ...
