The main reason I purchased the mini chopper was to easily mash and chop up foods for the baby. It's really convenient to make our dinners and take a bit out for the baby and throw it into the chopper for him. Means I am able to give him home cooked foods fast and easily. With older kids and afterschool activities to get to any time saver is welcomed with open arms!

Thankfully this chopper is small so storage isn't an issue. It fits under the sink next to the baking tins. As we have a small terraced house so storage is always an important thing to think about.

Another good use was found when I was making quesadillas. I had been baking earlier in the day for the school fair and there was next to no kitchen space, everyone was waiting for dinner and so I didn't have time to clean up first. I grabbed the chopper that was still out after being used to chop almonds earlier and gave it a quick rinse. I then threw in half an onion, half a red pepper, half a green pepper and some spices ... chop, chop, chop ... moments later it was all chopped and ready to be added to the chicken and cheese for perfect quesadillas. I was very impressed. I think the best way of getting a good chop is to press the button for a minute, give the contents a good stir and then press it again for a minute.
The longer you press the button for the more chop you will get so if you're making baby foods and want more of a puree then hold the button down for longer.
