Kenwood CL 428 Frothie Drink Maker

Frothie Choccy! When it comes to gadgets I have to admit I am addicted, the proof lies in my mums kitchen cupboards in the form of ice cream makers, pop corn machines and even a candy floss machine which was only used once! By far my favourite in the kitchen is my Kenwood Frothie Maker. My husband and I recieved one of these as a christmas gift from my parents and it is amazing! (so we have only had it a few days - but in that short time, man have we drunk a lot of hot drinks!) The usual RRP is £39.99 from most stores - they purchased it from argos for £34.99 on offer (as it is in many places right now) At first glance, it looks like a blender - very smart but simple. Whilst cleaning out my cupboards today, I found something I havn't used for a while. It was the Kenwood CL428 Froth, Now the reason I havn't used it for a while is because I always find with this type of product the novelty wares off after a while. The Kenwood CL428 is a liquidiser and can make hot or cold frothie drinks. I recieved this as a christmas present from my son , who i think secretly wanted one for himself after seeing it on the tv . Appearance. On appearence and feel , it looks and feels a bit flimsy. It has a fairly lightweight plastic base with 3 buttons , Off , Heat n Mix and Froth . The Container {jug} is also very lightweight , opaque plastic with the elements in the base of the jug , which is why you dont immerse it in water to clean it , sensible advice !! . This frothie maker is excellent. It heats up enough drink (for example, hot chocolate), for a family. Or you can have cold drinks such as milkshake. We just add enough milk and some hot chocolate powder, and it will heat it all up within a few minutes. So everybody's hot chocolate is ready at the same time, and is warm enough. If you have cold drinks, they can be mixed too. Everything is mixed evenly. The only negative is that some people may find that the machine is a little noisy.
