...The worst thing about most deep fat fryers is that they are a nightmare to clean. This model breaks the mould in this aspect. The heating element and thermostat can be removed and the rest of the unit can be placed in the dishwasher. On the downside the filters are not replaceable and are of limited use. I suppose this allows them to be washed. (this leads to unpleasant smells if lard if your cooking fat of choice) Due to the enclosed design of the lid, additional filters cannot be added. Functionality is as expected, temperatures up to 190 C variable.... Read review

...Having just purchased one of these deep fat fryers I must admit that I have been thorougly impressed with it since using it. The fryer hasa numbver of features and variable heat. But what matters to em at the end of the day is that it makes good chips and chicken ! I have talked to many others who also have these in their kitchens and they have also found it to be durable and long lasting. Therefore it sounds as though it is a good investment and will serve those who like their fried food in good stead for some time to come.... Read review

...I have tried many deep fat fryers over the years, in fact it's become a bit of a thing because I won't settle for one that doesn't do the job properly. I have found that they either cook the food too quickly, therefore it is dark brown before it's even cooked, or they are temperamental and I have had to adjust the temperature accordingly. I was about to give up when I happened to be watching Ideal World, a new Shopping Channel - at least, new to us as we are with NTL - and I saw a Kenwood Deep Fat Fryer, the DF650 Total Clean. As I love watching anything that demonstrates cooking pots and the like - yes, I know, how sad is that? - I sat and watched the demonstration.
