Advantages: Ideal for small scale use Disadvantages: not great if you are feeding the 5000!

I set straight to work using it to whip up a batch of homemade hoummous. Using the blender blade (which is the one I use most) I was able to blend all the ingredients to the perfect consistency. The pulse ... ...where it's size let the Kenwood FP116 down. Being only small it couldn't take the whole batch of soup and silly me filled it too full so it leaked over the sides! One tomato covered worktop later and my lesson was learned!
other than that though its small size means its perfect for leaving out on the worktop as it blends nicely with the kitchen as it has a modern feel and doesnt 'take over' as its not too large.
The blades and jug are easy to wash ...

It has one button. You can't choose the speed, there's just one speed. One button! It can't get more simple than that! That's a good thing, as one button is all you normally require.
With a 0.8 litre bowl, it's not exactly a lot you can fit in there, which is a bit of a downside, but then again, normally we don't need it to be bigger anyway.
It comes with the normal cutting/knife thing, an blade for making slices and one for grating. I would normally ... ...made bigger things, but not with this one. It also has a juice press (works fine, although my fingers were a bit worried they'd be pressed as well), and something that whips cream and things like that. The cream whipper isn't bad, it whips stuff in a jiffy, but it's not ideal for whipping cream, as the lowest bit can be loose cream, and the rest be butter. Oh yes, you get a spatula too!
What I love about it is that it cuts down workload. If you ...

Advantages: Simple, effective, not too huge! Disadvantages: Some might find it too small.
Perfect for those of us who wouldn't normally get the food processor out for food for one. Ideal for cooking for one or two people. AND it's petite enough to put away in the cupboard between uses without being a hassle to get in and out or taking up too much space better used for biscuits!
It's dead simple - one sliding button and one pulse button - and it chops and mixes really quickly. It's straightforward, nothing fancy and no whizzy gadgets ...

What a wonderful piece of equipment!
I got this marvellous machine for my birthday (after months of dropping hints) and am absolutely thrilled.
As one would expect from the Kenwood brand this machine is a joy to have in the kitchen. Previously I... more
I'm not really that much of a cook however when I do prepare things I like to have all the relevant gadgets I need.
My previous processor was old and so I decided to replace it, mainly because I saw that many sites had great deals on them.

This food processor was a replacement for my last Kenwood that expired after over 25 years of use.
The motor is housed beneath the bowl and this makes it very compact, and I am keeping it out on the worktop, the previous model was a big cream ugly thing more
This was initially an impulse buy but in 6 months of use is now a necessity.
My wife dislikes most fruit and vegetables but, as part of a get healthy campaign, she decided she needed to eat more fresh food. So a good compromise was to do it via a... more
