I have a rather small kitchen so storage was crucial to my purchase, as soon as i saw this on the shelf it stood out from the rest. i had never seen a design like it where you could store all the devices that go with the mixer, with the mixer! The box it came in is very trendy, black and modern with a nice matt finish, it definetly gave me high hopes that i had bought a good mixer. It opened up in a very nice way, not the usual get the scissors and rip it open routine!
I have a rather small kitchen so storage was crucial to my purchase, as soon as i saw this on the shelf it stood out from the rest. i had never seen a design like it where you could store all the devices that go with the mixer, with the mixer! I usually find myself hunting thorugh the drawers for the attachments!
They slot easily into the holes which is always great and click out easily enough with a small press of a button, as yet have had no trouble with the connections.
The stand is neat, tidy and washable incase any baking materials go where they aren't appreciated! It is also easy on the eye and looks modern, while still keeping that retro cool look like i like.
The 4 add-on pieces are sturdy and durable and hold up well even when the mixer is turned on full power.
There are 5 levels of power to choose from which have easily definable levels of power (maximum power is 400W: very good) to prevent you from over-killing your light mix so more doesn't end up on you rather than in the bowl. There is also a manual button which saves you from moving the switch up and down to full power, simply hold the button and it switches to full revolutions, then let go and it stops, a handy feature.
The cord i find a bit short, could have done with being 30cm or so longer (around 20 inches). This may be long enough for some people but it does limit you sometimes. The cord does however neatly hide away from view by tieing it up under the stand.
Verdict: A nice piece of kit if you want to fork out a bit over the average mixer price. I chose it more for storage and presentaion than its use, but it turned out to be better than all my other mixers. The price hasn't changed since i purchased it in April 08, infact i think in other shops it is more expensive.
