I wanted something cheap and practical, so I went out and bought this Kenwood juice extractor. I paid about £25 for it at Argos, which I though was a bargain at the time considering that it was selling for up to £35 elsewhere. They no longer sell it now.

I used it about three times a week for the first month, then twice a week for the second month and then once in a while afterwards, you get the picture:)
Pros:
It is very easy to use, with two speed settings, ... ...like apples. It has a good metal filter which means that the fruit juice comes out nice and smooth with no bits in it.
It has a seperator, so you get your fruit juice in one container and the pulp in another container.
Comes with a nice clear plastic jug and lid that you can use to store juice in the fridge.
Cons:

Couldn't get into my jeans anymore so I decided it was time to ditch the fizzy drinks and invest in a juicer.

Pros: It is very easy to use, with two speed settings, one for soft fruit and the other for hard fruit like apples. It has a good metal filter which means that the fruit juice comes out nice and smooth with no bits in it. It has a seperator, so you get your fruit juice in one container and the pulp in another container. Comes with a nice clear plastic jug and lid that you can use to store juice in the fridge.
Cons: Where shall I start? - Difficult to dissemble for cleaning. You have to practically pull it apart while your partner holds the appliance down. Kiss goodbye to your nicely-manicured nails. - There are about 6-7 parts that you have to clean, everytime you use it. If you don't clean it even for a day, the fruit starts fermenting on the inside. - The chute is narrow which means that you have to chop fruit into bits before you can get it down the chute, even carrots. - It broke down only after about 7 months of usage, not that I was using it that often anyway. I used it once and then when I tried to pull it apart so I can clean it, I couldn't get it open. The safety lock had jammed and I just couldn't open it no matter how hard I tried.
Would I buy it or a similar one again? No
Bit of advice: If you are looking for a juice extractor, make sure you get one with variable speed. Also buy one that allows you to wash the detachable parts in the dishwasher. One last thing, buy one that allows you to juice whole fruit. It will save you time in the long run expecially if you have busy schedule.
