...make my fruit smoothies in the blender part of my food processor, but of course this is not adequate for citrus fruit.
The KenwoodJE270 is a citrus juice extractor that does what is asked of it, and comes in at an affordable price. You can actually pay £10s- £100s for a citrus juice extractor, which would seem like overkill for anyone other than a commercial outlet. In fact the KenwoodJE270 retails for around £15 from the electrical retailers and you may find it slightly cheaper on line.
Assembling the extractor is simplicity itself. The base unit is on a fairly short electrical cord, and the specially shaped jug slips over the central plastic spike. There is a silver tray to catch the pulp, and finally the domed citrus squeezer shape on the top. There is no on/off switch with this type of appliance, instead the extractor is activated...

Advantages: Cheap Disadvantages: Difficult to clean, only juices small quantities
...The Kenwood juicer, like many juicers in its price range, offers little in the way of a satisfactory juicing experience.
The juice extraction rate is not very good, you can only juice small quantities of fruit at a time, and it is a pain to clean, with lots of little fiddly nooks and crannies. The pulp collecting bin is tiny, so has to be emptied every couple of minutes.
I bought one of these machines a year ago, and have recently replaced it with a Magimix Le Duo. At nearly twice the price it was worth every penny.
If you just want a gimmicky, quick go at juicing and intend to keep this machine in the cupboard when no-one's around, then maybe the kenwood is for you. Otherwise, go for something more expensive and more useful!...

Advantages: Makes juice Disadvantages: Makes a mess
...Ok, so imagine Christmas morning. Your parent buys you a juicer to add a bit of weight to your stocking. This time she should have just put coal in or something. Im not a bad reviewer but this was not up to standard. What do you look for in a juicer? Lots of juice from very little fruit and very little mess. What did I get? Very little juice, loads of fruit and im still cleaning the kitchen (well not really, but it is messy)
It does its job but I've definately seen better, I would recommend you go for something a little more expensive. The Kenwood Juicer is just not for me, maybe you will get on better with it but if I was you I would give this one a miss and look else where for a juicer. Sorry Kenwood but it just has not made the grade this time....
