Advantages Juicer, Smoothie Maker & Citrus Press In One Package

Disadvantages Fiddly To Clean, Clogs Up Easily

The Kenwood Smoothie Juice Bar attempts to combine a Juicer, Smoothie Maker and Citrus Press into one unit but fails at all three.

The citrus press part works OK, but even this can be fiddly with the unit failing to rotate if you put more than gentle pressure on it (which you need to do to extract the juice!)

The centrifugal juicer (which is interchagable with the blender) seems to take up a large quantity of fruit for relatively little juice. At lot of the juice seems to leak through the machine and out of the base.

The Smoothie Maker itself is OK but not brilliant. The blades aren't very sharp and the fruit tends to get stuck at the base of the blender. The unit has two speeds (the lower speed is recommended for the juicer, but I found that the higher speed was needed for the blender). The tap on the blender is detachable which is just as well as it is somewhat prone to clogging up.

The whole thing is a bit akward to clean, with lots of indivdual parts to it, which are mostly plastic which gives the whole unit a bit of a low quality look and feel. On a positive note, the instructions provided are fairly easy to follow and you also get a pretty comprehensive range of "menu's" for the blender and juicer.

In summary this devices tries to be three different things but ends up doing none of them very well - for the price you would expect something a bit more robust, unfortunately what you get with this machine is more Delilah than Samson! If you are looking for a smoothie maker or juice extractor you could probably get both seperately for not much more than the price of this one and get better quality as well.

Hi COOOEEE, I can definitely confirm that this is a 3 in 1 Smotthie Maker, Juicer and Citrus press as per the photo (in the pciture the smoothie maker is the bit on the left which is interchangable with the Juicer). I had this item added to the Ciao product list, unfortunately whoever published it from Ciao has labelled it the JE770 when in fact it is the JE7700.

Not sure if this is in the correct category as my friend has this juicer and although it does have a Juice Exctractor and Citrus Press it does not have a smoothie maker. Fionaxx
