Advantages: bridgeable channels/easy instalation Disadvantages: only 2 channels/quite bulky
...well i have just installed this amplifier this morning, and it was dead easy to fit and the instalation guide was very helpful
after playing about with all the settings i got myself a nice clear thumping bass and all is sounding great.
the best thing about this amp is that it can be bridged for 400w of power straight into a subwoofer. the only problem is there is only 2 channels and not four as i would of connect a set of 6x9s to the other 2. but nevermind maybe i could buy another, i could have a read round other peoples reviews on other brands..
and on the plus side you even get 4 self tapping screws to fit it anywhere you like.
you could connect any head unit up to this amp providing it had a pre out (2 phono sockets) on the back.
and i would recommend usng a 10awg (400w max) amp wiring kit.
its what im running it...

Advantages: good power output, low price Disadvantages: poor instruction manual on how to reset amp
...I bought this amplifier to power my 4 main speakers in conjunction with another Kenwood amplifier to power the subwoofer. The KAC-648 is a budget amp at around £140 and is easy to install like many other amplifiers. It is a 4 channel amplifier and the rated power output at 4 Ohms is 25 Watts using all 4 channels and at 2 Ohms 35 Watts using 4 channels. The amplifier features gold plated line input/output and speaker input/output. Using the High pass Filter (features low pass filter, full range options and input sensitivity individually for both input channels) on the amp you can achieve incredible sound quality in conjunction with another amp to power the subwoofer. This is because the amp drives well and allows the component speakers to just power the higher audible frequencies with less distortion at a higher decibel level...

Advantages: ok for people on a budget, Nice colour, easy to install Disadvantages: Not very good sound quality, not for me
...MY EXPERIENCE.
In my experience, id didnt find these very good at all, the price was good to start off with, there a lovely blue colour and there easy to install, but thats where the good points finish.
The construction of the actual speaker consists of a magnet, which is mounted at the rear of the speaker assembly and usually made of aluminium, and the front voice coil (this is where the sound comes out), in the case of this make of speaker, kenwood are normally blue in colour around the voice coil.
I mounted these in the holes where the factory fit speakers already were, (didnt want to cut new holes etc) all i had to do was take off the door panels (easier said than done) remove the 4 screws holding the old speaker to the door, unplug the speaker input connections from the rear terminals of the speaker, then the new speaker...
