Kenwood KDC-237 SG
Review of Kenwood KDC-237 SG by  sasi1240

Advantages: good sound
Disadvantages: no changer

...The Kenwood KDC-237 SA is a very sleek and modern looking cd player, with the funky stick control for the track selection and the perfectly placed volume control, also given a stainless steel look just to finish off the look. This unit will stand out in your dash!!! As a cd player it is very good value for money, with the easy to use control interface and user freindly buttons it is definatly one of the easiest to use on the market today. The only disadvantages are the fact that there is no CD changer option, aswell as no mp3 capabilities. However, if your looking for a simple and easy cd player then this is the one to choose, however, if its a large and powerful system you are after then the other kenwood units are the way forward. Overal a very good unit.... Read review

Review of Kenwood KDC-237 SG by  red_planet

Advantages: inexpensive basic model from good manufacturer
Disadvantages: demo mode - aaaaarrrrrrrggggggghhhhh!!!!!!

...I bought this because I wanted a basic model with RDS radio, CD player and somewhere to plug in an MP3 player, from a good manufacturer. I like it a lot, but there are things you need to know or it'll drive you crazy: a) buy an aerial adaptor (long thin thing) to plug into it (I guess you might have one, but I didn't and had to go back). b) to switch the demo mode off first press SRC to get it to standby. Then press and hold the tiny button on the left that says menu. It will say something like beep on. Then tap the little joystick on the right towards FM until it says demo. Then press the joystick in for two seconds until it says demo off. The instructions explain this really badly, and the scrolling demo mode writing is dangerously distracting when driving, especially at night. c) go through the menu to aux (same way you got... Ken-wood want this!
Review of Kenwood KDC4060RA RCD by  lindsayjayne

Advantages: Good quality, has never broke down
Disadvantages: No mp3 player, EON makes you jump!

...I recently bought my first car which is 14 years old, and it still had the original radio/cassette player in it. At that point I wasn't even able to drive, but I still spent a lot of time in the car and wanted something a bit better. I own hundreds of cassettes, but the majority of them are over ten years old, so I was intending to get a cd/mp3 player instead. I happened to mention this to my parents who then said they had a cd player (but no mp3 capability) that they'd taken out of their previous car which was being scrapped. They said rather than me laying money out on a new stereo, I could have that - the Kenwood KDC-4060RA. ~Kenwood~ The Kenwood Corporation started life as Kasuga radio Co.in 1946, selling audio, communications and measuring equipment. They renamed the company Trio Electronics Inc. and in 1980 entered... Read review
