I mounted these in the holes where the factory fit speakers already were, (didnt want to cut new holes etc) all i had to do was take off the door panels (easier said than done) remove the 4 screws holding the old speaker to the door, unplug the speaker input connections from the rear terminals of the speaker, then the new speaker was ready to be installed.
...unbelievable in comparison, whereas the kenwood would struggle and distort at the slightest bit of power, these new speakers could even handle some bass put through them.

If your not that bothered about the quality of your sound system, id stick with the factory fit speakers.

MY EXPERIENCE.

In my experience, id didnt find these very good at all, the price was good to start off with, there a lovely blue colour and there easy to install, but thats where the good points finish.

The construction of the actual speaker consists of a magnet, which is mounted at the rear of the speaker assembly and usually made of aluminium, and the front voice coil (this is where the sound comes out), in the case of this make of speaker, kenwood are normally blue in colour around the voice coil.

To mount the kenwood speakers, all i had to do was position the holes on the speaker to the holes in the door itself, align the screw and screw all four screws in til they were tight, all that was then left to do was plug the connection onto the terminals on the back (just used the old ones that were already there) and put the door panel back on.

A good tip here is to get some dynamat on the door panel itself, and between the actual speaker and the metalwork of the car your mounting it on. This will prevent the sound from escaping outwards from the car, and redirect the sound into the car which is exactly where you want it to go (no good upgrading and letting the sound out).

Now dont get me wrong here, in the speaker world you do actually get what you pay for, and ill explain abit further on.

The speakers are actually a better quality than the cheap and nasty factory fit ones, but nevertheless these are very poor (wel at 90wtts peak poer waht do you expect?), even abit of power run through them and they start to struggle and distort the sound, this isnt very good really as why upgrade your speakers to something not much better, you may aswell save your £21.99p if your going to buy some 90watt speakers.

Suffice to say these didnt stay in my car very long.

Now onto the point about you get waht you pay for, since then i have purchased some boston speakers, these are alot more expensive at £150 for a pair. But the sound quality is unbelievable in comparison, whereas the kenwood would struggle and distort at the slightest bit of power, these new speakers could even handle some bass put through them.

In my opinion, if your going to upgrade your car speakers, spend abit more on the speakers themselves, you will be much more impressed with the result. I think kenwood should stick to manufacturing blenders and car stereos, i swear by kenwood car stereos, ive never had any break on me, and i think theyre extremely good value for money.
