Kenwood KFC-1761S

Advantages: For the novice youngster no need for an AMP
Disadvantages: Have to turn treble control down to stop damage being done

...Being a 17 year old who just got himseld a Nova it was obvious that I was going to buy some speakers. I decided upon some Kenwood KFC 6905s thats 6*9s for the back of my cars parecel shelf. Connected them up to my stereo (like you do) and press the D-Bass button to maximum and then pressed play... BOOOOM they were unbelievable!! I thought someone had sneaked an AMP in somewhere.. but no this was the sound coming from my 50 watts RMS sony player to the speakers... they can take un unbelievable amount of Bass punishment with little distortion to the music! I was so impressed I decided to get some for the front of my car!... Read review

Disadvantages: Needed With A Stealth Shelf I Would Say

...After having my infinity speakers stolen, I decided to purchase some cheaper speakers at a local shop.. I got these for £40 and must say that was a very good price for how good these speakers are.. Along with my stealth shelf these give out superb base rivalling some subwoofers! The high frequency sounds come out great aswell and only distort at realy loud volumes.. They havn't let me down in 6 months and out beat all my mates speakers hands down.. The speakers look excellent with or without the grilles.. Kenwood are a fine make for audio and these speakers would be awsome in any sound system... A must buy for any car.. Go get yourself come straight away!!... Read review

...The kenwood DB+ is an attractive sub, it has everything that you would want from a car sub, the looks, the power claim, and the trusted name brand. However the one thing that the kenwood db+ fails on is perhaps the most important thing of all, gut werenching bass. Most people are like me and buy a subwoofer for their car because they want thumping bass blasting out as they drive. If this is what you are after then this sub isnt for you. it has a max power claim of 1000 watts and dont get me wrong it is a loud sub. but there is just something missing. it seems to distort alot on low bass notes when the volume is up. I know you may be saying, 'well thats your amp,' but it isnt because i rana rockford off the same amp and it only had a power claim of 400 watts and it was twice the strength. it is all around not a bad sub, but i would...
