The kenwood DB+ is an attractive sub, it has everything that you would want from a car sub, the looks, the power claim, and the trusted name brand. However the one thing that the kenwood db+ fails on is perhaps the most important thing of all, gut werenching bass. Most people are like me and buy a subwoofer for their car because they want thumping bass blasting out as they drive. If this is what you are after then this sub isnt for you. it has a max power claim of 1000 watts and dont get me wrong it is a loud sub. but there is just something missing. it seems to distort alot on low bass notes when the volume is up. I know you may be saying, 'well thats your amp,' but it isnt because i rana rockford off the same amp and it only had a power claim of 400 watts and it was twice the strength. it is all around not a bad sub, but i would not recommend it for bass heads.
