Advantages: Quick boil, easy to lift because of the traditional shape. Disadvantages: Lid could easier to open .
...I purchased this Kenwood SK996 approximately about three
months ago because our Russell Hobbs Montana was leaking
at the base.
We went back to a classical shape which is easier to lift when
full.
The Kenwood is much quieter when bringing to the boil than the Russell Hobbs Montana.
The lid could be easier to remove but it has a good knob to grip
hold of with your hand round the handle.
I found the clear duel windows easy to read the amount of water in the kettle.
I live in a hard water area but the inside seems to be keeping
fairly lime free so far.
The washable filter is smooth to remove and easy to clean.
I would reccomend to my friends that they purchase the Kenwood SS996....

Advantages: all of the above Disadvantages: maybe not suitable for ice cubes. Not for large amounts
...After struggling for years with a food processor, just to process small amounts, I finally gave in and bought a tiny Kenwood Chopper. I don't have a lot of people to cook for, but I do like to experiment in the kitchen, so this is ideal.
I grow fresh herbs in the garden, and it is so easy to chop and then freeze them. One of the most common uses for me, is to make a home made fish pie. I process the herbs, then I use the chopper to also chop the breadcumbs (1-2 slices is enough) and also some cheese. If you put cheese in the chopper, it comes out in little round bits - lovely for toppings.
My niece like Slush puppies, and I keep ice pops in the freezer. I put them frozen in the chopper and they come out like bits of ice. I add a bit of juice and we have a slush. I have not dared put ice cubes in as these are much harder and may...

Advantages: Toasts evenly and the outer wall does stay cool Disadvantages: Thermostat control could be more accurate
...I brought this toaster sometime ago maybe about 2 years ago and it is still going strong, but the only thing is I had a problem with managing to get a piece of toast from it that was perfect, it either was not toasted enough or burnt black. It looks great and and easy to keep clean just wish the heat selection was more precise. Having to stand over the pop up toaster sort of moves away from the idea of having it cook automatically but saying that the bread does toast nice and evenly and now I have the temperature thing licked now it's great.
The cool wall is just what it says, the outer walls of the toaster do stay cool even after doing rounds of toasts for 6 hungry people.
The high lift function is great also, gone are the days of having to poke a knife down inside your toaster to get the toast out. Which is not to be recommended...

What a wonderful piece of equipment!
I got this marvellous machine for my birthday (after months of dropping hints) and am absolutely thrilled.
As one would expect from the Kenwood brand this machine is a joy to have in the kitchen. Previously I... more
