Brilliant.

I got this blender just before Christmas. It is an elegant design and fits well in any kitchen. It is sleek and easy to operate. The blender comes in five parts. The base where the power connects and the buttons are, the main colour of this being silver. The jug where you put your fruit and vegetables in, which is obviously clear. The lid that fits nice and smug onto the blender and locks into place, so leaving no space for leaks. The stirring stick which is black and has a large ball on the top, this being so that you can stir the contents of the blender whilst its running and not get the stick caught in the blades. For the lid is also another small plastic lid which goes into the middle if you are not using the stirring stick. Make sure you put this onto the lid if you are without stirring stick because otherwise the contents go everywhere! The use of the blender is idiot proof. You chop up your fruit and vegetables, throw them into the jug, put the lid on firmly, and press blend. The then sets the blades going. There is also use of a pulse button, which makes the blades go rather fast for a short burst to really get the contents blended. Not forgetting the liquidiser button that is faster than blend, and gives it a nice liquid finish. The smoothie or whatever you may be making then pours out through the tap fitted to the jug, into your glass, which fits nice and snug in the gap that Kenwood have put into the base. The good thing about this blender it that it also crushes ice which is wonderful in the summer.

The bad point being, as I can only think of one. Is that this blender is rather noisy, it is not suitable for using late at night, or if you live in a flat. However, other than that, this blender is perfect for making smoothies, and I would most definitely recommend this product if you are thinking of buying a blender. When I got mine the cost was £34.95, but I believe you can get them for much cheaper now.
Advantages: blends and crushes almost everything you could want to drink Disadvantages: can be hard to clean
...works well with many other Kenwood products particularly kettles and toasters. The blade crushes or blends most things that you could put in it, particularly good with ice and ice cream. Can be a bit of a pain to clean particularly by the tap. The pulse setting is particularly good in making really smooth smoothies. Best recipe for a smoothie: add 3 rings of pineapple, two banannas, large glug of apple juice and small glug of pomegrante juice into ...

Advantages: Quick, healthy and easy to clean Disadvantages: doesn't blend ice well
I use my blender to make healthy smoothies, with the plus side of making alcoholic cocktails! Its really easy to make fruit smoothies, I usually use any fresh fruit I have with a tin of fruit too and either yoghurt or fruit juice to blend. A good recipe is fresh strawberries, fresh or tinned rasperies, plain yoghurt and vanilla pod. Delicious. However, when trying to make cocktails the ice doesn't blend too well but you can always add ice later. ... ...blades aren't removeable but because of the tap they don't need to be. It IS dishwasher safe, but it really doesn't nreed to be. Just put it into some hot soapy water and after the insides are clean (really quickly) you can just run water through the tap for a while then wash as normal. Time:
Very quick, takes about 60 seconds to whizz up a juice, if using solids may take longer (i.e. 2.5 mins tops)
Instuctions:
Come with detailed instructions, ...

ring) every time it is used. This is a bit of hassle but doesn't take very long. Instructions or cleaning each individual part are given in the manual.
Overall I would recommend this if it's something you would use regularly and have the space for (it can be awkward to store, or even keep on the work surface due to the shape)
The smoothie maker generally sells for between £20 - £30. There are lots of models of smoothie maker from Kenwood though, and a lot of them seem quite similar (I think the latest is SB206) ...

, and the advice is that this product is not suitable for dishwasher usage.
So, now I had the product I needed to put it all together before I could start ?playing? with my new toy. Full instructions are given in the manual as to how to assemble the product, and they are very simple. The only thing I would advise is not to let young children assist in setting up the processor, as the blades that are supplied are extremely sharp.
The Kenwood Smoothie Maker is made up of the following:
Stirrer, Cap, Lid, Goblet, Tap Assembly, Sealing Ring, Blade Assembly and a Power unit.
