Having had this brought for me as a present over a year ago i have to give it to this mighty machine its still as powerfull and usfull as the day i unwrapped it.
THE LOOK: Very chic in silver and black this blender (WELL YOU COULD ALMOST CLASS IT AS A POWER TOOL) looks fab on anyone kitchen surface esp mine. Silver casing black buttons, and plastic mixing jug. USEABILITY: I use mine most days, not just for smoothys but for many other blender useages(WE ... ...MUCH MORE IN IT) this machine is one powerfull contraption. Frozen friut, bread to make breadcrumbs, ice, food for the kids when they were smaller, cheese sauces etc. Its simple to use, the plastic jug and the stiring pole at the top they all come apart for cleaning. The tap on the front lets you pour out your juice/smoothy and with the different buttons you can make things chunky /smooth

Advantages: Quite powerful for the price, affordable, good number of setting, pouring tap Disadvantages: not very durable, not the easiest thing to clean thoroughly.
We bought this smoothie maker to help my husband become healthier and for me to enjoy fruit in a different way.
Overall, it's not a bad product and it's generally quite powerful. I think I bought it for about £37 from Currys but I have since bought a different one by a different manufacturer which was only £10 dearer but the jug was made of glass not plastic and actually, the difference this makes is quite significant.
Firstly, the glass is easier ... ...get a bit of friction which wears out quite quickly. It's got a good capacity but the hand mixer doesn't reach as far down to the bottom of the jug as I'd like. We used it twice a day and within about a month it was beginning to feel worn.
The other problem is that if you use it, you must clean it thoroughly, particularly the pouring tap. It comes unscrewed but this isn't enough to really clean it inside. The same problem applies to the rest of ...

Advantages: Easy to use Disadvantages: Sometimes the tap clogs up!
...of the juices - the Kenwood SB256 coped with this with as well as frozen fruit with no problems at all.
One disadvantage I've found it sometimes the bottom of the jug clogs up and this causes the tap to dispense slowly. This is not a problem as to be honest most times I just pour out the jug straight into a glass! ...

Quick review of Kenwood SB256 Review ofKenwood SB256by

this blender is great for smoothies as it can dice most fruit, providing you have pre sliced it into smaller portions beforehand. it keeps its strength for years and i can vouchfor that as i have had mine just over a year and half and its still as powrfulas when i first got it. the 500 watt motar provides the blades with tremendous power even when under strain. themendous! power, brand, quality for a most subtle price tag.

I bought this having become completely fed up of my juicer, which took ages to use, left loads of waste and was a pain to clean. This blender / smoothie maker was a revelation!
Not only is it healthier than a juicer, as you use all the fruit / vegetables, so get your fibre intake as well, but it's so easy to use and quick to take apart and clean. Great for drinks, milkshakes - and especially cocktails! I have also used it to make soup.
The only ... ...- so for example, if you add blueberries, you will be left will bits of blueberry skin which some people could find offputting. You also need to add juice or water to get a reasonable consistency - too thick and the tap gets blocked with pulp.
I definitely recommend this - it's great value for money, looks good and doesn't take up too much space. ...

What a wonderful piece of equipment!
I got this marvellous machine for my birthday (after months of dropping hints) and am absolutely thrilled.
As one would expect from the Kenwood brand this machine is a joy to have in the kitchen. Previously I... more

This food processor was a replacement for my last Kenwood that expired after over 25 years of use.
The motor is housed beneath the bowl and this makes it very compact, and I am keeping it out on the worktop, the previous model was a big cream ugly thing more
This was initially an impulse buy but in 6 months of use is now a necessity.
