It doesn't lead and does pour well unlike my last kettle! The only down side is the flip lid. There is a button on the handle you press to lift the lid on the kettle, we found that ours broke after about three months and the lid could no longer close making the kettle unsuable. Thankfully Argos exchanged it without any dramas but I was surprised it broke so quickly after purchace.
In short, good value for money and filter. Hopefully the breaking lid was an isolated incident!
