Making a purchase of a toaster is not really a life changing experience yet it can make a significant dent in your own financial situation with new models hitting the market costing in excess of £200 because they have numerous slots and compartments to crisp, lightly toast, reheat and quite possibly self clean. We've had this toaster now for the last three years; it replaced our old Philips toaster which ran for approximately 10 years. I'd say the build quality on it is much lighter than our Philips but crucially the controls are easier to use since there are three options plus the normal browing dial you'll usually find on other toasters. ~~ Features ~~ The beauty of the Kenwood is that it has a cancel button, a reheat button and defrost button which means that unless your bread is completely fresh you can still pop in a slice of bread which has at least some frozen part to it - as the manual says ... more

I have had this toaster for about 2 months now. I am happy with it and found it to be a fast toaster. The only slight problem with it is that it does one side of the bread slightly faster than the other which can be quite annoying if you like your toast well done as you can never get it spot on. The appliance is deep enough for the slices of bread but if you like thick crusty bread it has a tendancy to burn fast and smoke a bit due to the lack of space between the bread and the elements.
