We are guilty of managing to kill a toaster about every two years. There is a little mortuary for them in the garage, each lovingly placed there in the hope that one day the man of the house might be able to revive them.!
So buying the Kenwood involved a change of manufacturer from all that we had tried previously, in the hope that this one might reach old age with us.!It looks great - a mixture of polished and brushed chrome, with three lights on the front right hand side.
The slots are long enough to accomodate two slices of modern pan loaf side by side in each slot. However, our plan was just to have slots big enough to accomodate decent size single slices, particularly of good home made bread. And this it does well. The dial on the right side governs darkness settings, and actually seems to work accurately.
The crumb tray, underneath, does its job well, more than can be said for the humans who only seem to remember what it is there for, about once a year !
This was not the dearest toaster in Curry's where we purchased it, - about £35 - but it is easy to keep clean, easy to use, does its job well, and has survived our rough handling for about a year now.
I will update this review should it 'pass on' in the near future.!

I have a "Turbo" toaster and it does seem to be quicker. The sad thing these days is that these types of products are so cheap now no-one bothers to repair them anymore as it's easier to buy a new one. we will be needing a planet like the one the Clangers had just to put it all with an Iron Chicken to look after it!!. Carole.x PS great review.x

We don’t eat too much toast in out house, so my toaster is about 6 years old, guess yours is still going strong since you have not updated this review yet. Jane x
