When it comes to my kitchen I have recently given it a bit of a makeover, nothing as big as having a new kitchen but we did put some fresh paint on the walls and have changed a couple of appliances over. Most of the appliances in my kitchen used to be a cream colour and as we have had to update or replace we have gone for a chrome look and the last thing on my purchase list was a new toaster. To be fair, we don’t have a great deal of toast but the grill on my oven is shocking and burns bread in an instant so for the times we have a toast craving we have to have a toaster. After much searching I opted for the Kenwood 2 Slice toaster TTM332.
There were a few different reasons for me deciding to go with this toaster, I like the Kenwood brand and it was offering the best price on a 2 slice toaster, we did not want a larger 4 slice toaster as we don’t need that as well as it taking up too much work top space. I also liked the design and features that are with this toaster. The toaster will cost you around the £22.99 mark which in my opinion is not to bad a price at all, there were toasters that were double that and for all the fancy features, it would have been wasted on us! We brought the toaster from Amazon but you can get it from various electrical retailers for the same price.
The toaster itself came well packaged in a cardboard box and after opening it there is a good instruction booklet but I must admit that this is a really easy toaster to use. It runs off 850 watt of power and has a black plug and extension lead going into the toaster, it slots really well onto my work top. The really good thing about this toaster is that it is compact so you don’t have to have it taking up to much space on your work top your work top. The bulk of the toaster is in a chrome material and the operating buttons are black.
The toaster comes with 3 buttons, there is the reheat and defrost setting as well as a cancel button. There is a dial on the other side of the toaster and this allows you to control as to how brown you like your toast to be cooked. When you first use a new appliance you are not sure how well it is going to cook the toast but I put this on a middle setting and it cooked the toast perfect. The bracket that lifts the bread is really good as there is no way that you will get burnt fingers from using it!
The slots on the toast allow you to toast bread, rolls or pittas as the slots have a variable width to them which in my opinion is a really handy feature. As I have been using this toaster on and off for a couple of months now, I have been really impressed with the quality and how good it works. It is effective and efficient for cooking the toast and as I mentioned the design is excellent in that it has been angled for ease of use.
I give the toaster a weekly clean as well as a clean after use. I tend to use an E cloth product on it to keep the stainless steel looking good.
In summary, I only have positive things to say about this toaster and would have no hesitation in recommending it.
