The resins reduce heavy metals, limescale, and aluminium, etc. ; 3. Special activated carbon (silver treated for bacteria control) absorbs chlorine and organic pollutants such as herbicides, solvents, bad taste and other odours, etc. ; 4. Fine particle filter.

...another princely £9.99 on a Kenwood Crystal Water Filter. A very modern looking contraption compared to my old one but unfortunately with a smaller jug capacity. Made of rigid plastic with a filtered water capacity of 1.5 litres and coming complete with one starter cartridge it was the least expensive of those available where I bought it (Robert Dyas Store).
The jug is a tall, narrow shape that slips easily into the fridge and could probably fit ... ...easy storage. It has an indicator facility built into the lid so you can see how much the filter has left before you need to replace it – about every month or 60 fill-ups according to the manufacturer. Refill cartridges are available for about £2.50 and are also available in double and triple packs (though these are harder to find than the single ones).
The manufacturer claims that it should filter out up to about 75% of the additives such ...

Advantages: cheap drinkable water Disadvantages: none really
...this I opted for the Kenwood WF110 water filter at £7.99. It has a two litre capacity and came with one cartridge.
I made my purchase and once home I couldn’t wait to try the water filter out to see if it would actually work. The instructions are very clearly written.
~Before Using~
1) Completely wash the jug, lid and hopper (the bit that holds the cartridge) in warm water.
2) Immerse the cartridge in cold water for ten minutes
3) Insert ... ...of the jug) with tap water and allow to filter through. Discard filtered water and repeat.
5) You water filter is now ready to use.
~How to Use~
1) Remove the lid and fill hopper (top part of jug with the cartridge in) with tap water.
2) Allow water to filter through to the bottom part of the jug (this takes about 2 minutes) 3) The water is now ready to drink.
~Safety~
There are some safety points to using the water filter:
1) Filtered water ...

...as pure as possible.
Kenwood make a range of water filters in different sizes and colours, but on the whole they all do the same thing as they use the same cartridges. For your benefit, the model I have, and therefore on which this opinion is based, is the WF93.
The water filter is transparent with a white lid, spout and filter dish. The filter dish and the jug both have a maximum capacity of 1.1 litres, which means that you can’t over fill the ... ...my partner and myself, so long as you fill it up regularly (‘cause boy, she lets me know when I don’t!!).
Using the product couldn’t be simpler. The lid is easily removable and has an indent to use as a handle and when removed you simply then have to fill the filter dish with water from the tap. The water will then filter through the cartridge at the bottom of the dish into the jug, ready for consumption. The design of this product is simple but ...

Advantages: Pleasenter drinking Water, no limescale build up on kettle Disadvantages: Could be a little bit larger to accomodate more water.
...be the simple but effective Kenwood Water Filter. It cost me £9.99 and was from argos.
When i took it out the packaging i noticed it came with it's first free filtration cartridge which would last for 60 refils or 90 days which ever was the 1st.
The instructions informed me to rinse the jug and 'hopper' where the water is placed prior to filtration. I was then told to activate the cartridge. To do this you have to take the cartridge and place it ... ...the water for at least five minutes to allow all the air to escape.
Once you had done this you could place the filter in the hopper. Now you have to fill the hopper to the maximum mark and filter 3 full hopers off water to get rid of any chemical residue that could be in the cartridge.
Once you have done this the filter is ready to use.
I have been using the filter for about 6 months now and it is only on it's second cartridge and i use it every ...

Hello and welcome to the review that should have been here. It was here but its not here now as I have taken it and put it into my private stash somewhere else. It may well appear somewhere else online and if it does it will have my name on it. Thank you to everyone, to all the people in my COT over the years who have stuck by me and who have been great influences over the reviews I have written. It is indeed a sad case that reviewers have to come ... ...sense at all when the original content should be listed and frankly because of endless problems with Ciao I no longer have the time and energy to carry on. Each time I tried, it didn't work. Each message I sent to other members, they didn't appear. Each rate I applied, it didn't show. So that's the end of it. Ty for reading. ...

I live in Leicester, a city plagued by what is referred to as 'hard water'. When you turn on a tap in Leicester, the same clear fluid falls out that you would expect to find falling out of any tap in the civilised world. But the water here is different... more
I live in quite a hard water area and find that the water is only drinkable using the filter. The taste of the water is vastly improved, mainly because the filters take out all or most of the limescale. They last for about a month before needing... more
What a wonderful piece of equipment!
I got this marvellous machine for my birthday (after months of dropping hints) and am absolutely thrilled.
As one would expect from the Kenwood brand this machine is a joy to have in the kitchen. Previously I... more
This food processor was a replacement for my last Kenwood that expired after over 25 years of use.
The motor is housed beneath the bowl and this makes it very compact, and I am keeping it out on the worktop, the previous model was a big cream ugly thing more
