I love to spend my (sacred) spare time pampering, preening and relaxing! Like most women I thoroughly enjoy my beauty and toiletry products. My favourite hobby is shopping or spending time with my 3 adorable cats.

Here I am reviewing Kerastase's strenghtening and repairing shampoo; Bain De Force.
Like all the other reviewers, I am a GHD worshipper along with blowdrying and the odd dye job; therefore my hair was at one point, in dire condition and always seemed to look uneven (both with colour and ends of hair), dry and unhealthy.
At my wits end, I had a chat with my stylist and (alongside a course of intensive repair treatments [Nanomax - highly recommend]) she introduced me to the Kerastase range; for very damaged and weak hair.
Admittedly when I was first told the price (approx. £14) I cringed as I am a poorly paid Veterinary Nurse Assistant. However I knew my hair needed some serious care and so I shopped around online. I found a better price on Lookfantastic.com (approx. (£11) a website I now regularly visit to purchase superiour products to those on the high street.
You really do need only the tiniest blob of shampoo; about the size of a 5p as it distributes evenly throughout the hair and creates a really rich lather. The smell is quite fresh and zingy and re-enforces the feeling that you are putting life back into your hair!
I usually shampoo twice, first with a cleansing shampoo (at the moment I am alternating between Lush's 'Big' shampoo and Aussie's Mega shampoo).
I use Bain De Force for my second shampoo, as previously mentioning; only using a 5p sized blob. I massage through my hair for approximately 2 mins and then rinse out. At this stage, my hair feels thoroughly cleansed.
I then go on to use the Kerastace Ciment Anti-usure conditioner (£14.20 on Lookfantasic); of which I use a slightly greater amount, about the size of a 50p and massage into my damp (not towel dry/not dripping wet) hair and scalp for about 2 minutes. Once this has rinsed out I follow with the thermal protector and repairative cream Kerastase Cinement Thermique (£14.65 from Lookfantastic, about £17< in the salon!).
I do use a rotation of hair products to avoid build up, using this Kerastase range every other wash has honestly restored my hair almost to its natural condition and it looks healthy, shiny and most importantly, suffers from hardly any breakage!
I would never resort back to a high street brand, regardless of what they promise, because the salon products really do deliver what they promise and are so superiour to anything else I've ever used. I am now a huge fan of the Kerastase brand and have found the same high quality with several of their other products.
A word on the cost: though the products may initially appear quite expensive, they really do last for a long time (I am still using the 250ml bottle of shampoo I bought back in March!) and so they really are not that expensive; the proof is in the quality and longivity!

It is absoloutely worth every penny! My stylist was banging on at me for over a year to try it, I was so hesitant because of the price but it really is worth it!

Judging by the effects, I think this sounds like it's worth the price tag. I'm impressed that so little of it goes such a long way.
