...As a hairdresser i'm always on the look out for great hair products, i have to say Kerastase products are fantastic. BainSatin comes in 3 types, 1 for normal to slightly dry hair, 2 for dry or damaged hair and 3 for very dry or damaged hair. Ask a Kerastase consultant for the right one for your hair type as you will get no benefits by using the wrong one, infact using the wrong one can make your hair seem greasy, and unmanageable. If in doubt use BainSatin1 to start with. This product will selectivly treat damaged areas, smooth and soften the hair without heaviness, has instant detangling action and leaves the hair silky with brilliant shine and it has a fresh summer smell that lingers all day.
It doesnt seem good value or money at first but the bottle lasts for months, (use the size of a 10 pence piece for each application on long...

Advantages: Leaves hair soft and shiny and manageable Disadvantages: Can be hard to find
...I have been using the bainsatin1 for normal to slightly dry hair for several years now (I would describe my hair type as fine and slightly dry) and I have found it to be great, leaving my hair thoroughly cleansed and healthy feeling and residue free -unlike some of the high street brands which I find can leave my hair feeling weighed down and lank after a few uses.
Although on face value it may seem a bit of an expensive product, I personally find I only need to use very little each time so a bottle does go a long way - and so overall I have found it works out a lot cheaper than impulse buying numerous different shampoos only to find they don't suit.
In the past it has been difficult to find this product line as it is only sold (as far as I can tell) in some of the more expensive salons, but with the increasing popularity of online...

...I used to be a dedicated user of the Kerastase range. I loved the way their products made my hair feel and most importantly I loved that they didn't fade my colour.
Kerastase is at the higher end of the market price wise and 1 bottle will set you back over £8. The nice think about this shampoo is that it comes in 3 strengths, Normal, dry, very dry so you should find one to suit you. I wouldn't recommend it for people with greasy hair. The smell verges on the chemical side but it isn't enough to put you off using it. One bottle lasts 6 weeks for me but this of course depends how often you wash your hair. In my experience I found I needed to use a good conditioner afterwards as it didn't put much moisture back into my hair. As with any shampoos you apply it to wet hair, lather it up then rinse off. The bottle advises you to repeat...
