    Advantages Advantages Doesn't fade colour

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Price

I used to be a dedicated user of the Kerastase range. I loved the way their products made my hair feel and most importantly I loved that they didn't fade my colour. Kerastase is at the higher end of the market price wise and 1 bottle will set you back over £8. The nice think about this shampoo is that it comes in 3 strengths, Normal, dry, very dry so you should find one to suit you. I wouldn't recommend it for people with greasy hair. The smell verges on the chemical side but it isn't enough to put you off using it. One bottle lasts 6 weeks for me but this of course depends how often you wash ... more

    Advantages Advantages smooths, softens, treats

As a hairdresser i'm always on the look out for great hair products, i have to say Kerastase products are fantastic. Bain Satin comes in 3 types, 1 for normal to slightly dry hair, 2 for dry or damaged hair and 3 for very dry or damaged hair. Ask a Kerastase consultant for the right one for your hair type as you will get no benefits by using the wrong one, infact using the wrong one can make your hair seem greasy, and unmanageable. If in doubt use Bain Satin 1 to start with. This product will selectivly treat damaged areas, smooth and soften the hair without heaviness, has instant detangling ... more

Advantages Advantages really good moisturising shampoo for dry hair.

Disadvantages Disadvantages can be too heavy for fine hair, price

as a hairdresser myself i did work with l'oreal products and the kerastace range is brilliant for people with dry, thick hair as it is very moisturising, even though u can get 3 types of this producs one for normal, one for slightly dry / damaged and one for very dry / damged it is definately no good for any one with greasy or thin hair and i wouldnt really recomend it for normal, as it is very moisturising and sometimes to heavy leaving hair flat and greasy especially on thin hair. price wise you get what you pay for, it is a professional product you dont use as much it lasts longer and tends ... more

Advantages Advantages nourishing daily treatment for dry/damaged/coloured hair

    Disadvantages Disadvantages price

Us girls who have our hair coloured on a regular basis know the joy of walking out of the salon with a newly coloured, shiny, silky mane blowing in the wind. Sadly some of us also know that that feeling wears off and after a couple of weeks of regular shampoo and conditioner your hair is left weak, dry and generally quite out of condition. WELL, after years and years of trialling the various 'deeply nourishing' shampoos and conditioners to no avail, I have found that Kerastase Nutritive Bain Satin 3 Shampoo is the first shampoo to really leave my hair with that 'just stepped outta the salon ... more

After serious damage form hair straightening (GHD's had to cut at least 3 inches of hair off) and colouring! I decided it was time to find a good shampoo to help rehydrate my dired out hair! kerastase is a preminium brand of loreal and the other professional brands in their haircare ranges are Matrix, loreal professional, redken, mizani. Came across kerastase bain satin , my sister is a keen user, but I never seen her with serious damage hair like mine! Her hair is very shiny and in top tip condition as she has been using the product for a while now! She told me it was really good! I was not ... more
