Anyway back to the new Manhattan
The kettle is finished in a highly polished shiney chrome which actually resists finger prints very well so it stays cleaner. It gives the appearance of being very tall and slim and in the shop it looked a bit odd but when we ... ...a double cool wall and for those who are worrined as it is metal and conducting heat from the water don't. Yes its gets warm but not hot enough to scold if you accidently touch it.
When the kettle is put on to boil there is a funky blue light which lights up the water level indicator on both sides.
One draw back is the water level indicator is difficult to read where the level is as the window is very thin. You get used to the cup indicator rather ...
Advantages: Fast boiling. Disadvantages: Water marks a pain
After buying a DeLonghi Icona toaster a while ago I was so pleased with it that I went out and bought the kettle. My kettle is a rather glossy, retro red; its quite a rich colour so manages not to be tacky and, unlike some of the other De Longhi kettles I've seen it's shape is lovely and it's not too round The kettle itself boils quickly and does exactly what it says on the tin. If I was to complain about anything I'd say that the water level marker ... ...marks on the chrome and paint can be a bit of a pain but nothing a quick wipe down won't sort out; a small price to pay for a funky looking kettle that adds a sense of fun and originality to my kitchen. Like the toaster its not cheap but it is worth it! ...

Review of Delonghi KBO3001
Advantages: Funky little think Disadvantages: Can be costly if you don't shop around
***Breville Spectra Stainless Steel Kettle*** Ive tried many new kettles since we bought our new house, but last December we had our kitchen totally refitted, but unfortunately it meant all of our white reliable appliances looked a bit out of place with our shiny new kitchen. What did I want from kettle: Prior to going shopping we decided that everything had to be black or stainless steel to colour co-ordinate with our kitchen (or should I say I ... ...importantly I wanted a kettle that was reliable, easy to use and easy to clean. Where did I shop: Im quite a frequent shopper at Argos because I love some of their special offers and on this occasion they had a sale on a lot of their electrical appliances. The kettle cost me £34.00 and I had the option to purchase the 3 year replacement cover, but taking previous experiences into account I opted to stick with the standard one year warranty included ...
Advantages: boils water quickly, has a filter Disadvantages: very huge, very expensive, not 100% silent
The Morphy Richards 43693 is a cordless 3.1kw electrical kettle for boiling or heating water. We bought ours a few months ago the same time I bought the matching toaster. The kettle has 1.5 litre capacity which is well enough for lots of cuppa teas. The Morphy Richards 43693 has a concealed element which prevents scales from building up. The kettle comes in a big white box with the three page manual enclosed.
I am sure a lot of people are familiar ... ...vacuums to bread makers etc. Morphy Richards is quiet respected and all their products come with a two year manufacture warranty. Price and Place
We bought our kettle from Currys for £39.99 which is ten pounds more than the matching toaster. I really did think the price was ridiculous for a kettle but on the other hand it wasn't me paying so I couldn't care less. However, because I've now had experience with the kettle I really do think it is ...
Advantages: It looks great, rapid boil Disadvantages: The optional whistle
MORPHY RICHARDS 43696 KETTLE
HISTORY
Donal Morphy and Charles Richards worked together at an electric fire company. Morphy was an engineer and Richards was a salesman. In July 1936 they registered their new enterprises as a private company manufacturing and dealing in electrical, gas, radio and television equipment. They set out to produce affordable modern appliances for the mass market. The company is a household name that is still doing extremely ... ...quite small on top. The Morphy Richards logo is on the front. There is also a light on the front of the kettle below the logo, this lights up red when the kettle is in use.
It is cordless and sits on a 360º connector. Extras
It has the option of whether you want it to whistle when it reaches boiling point or not. I am so glad it is an option, because to be quite frank, the whistle is quite annoying. It sounds more like a siren. Sometimes when you ...
