nice looking kettle
Review of Kenwood SJ480 by
NEILBIKERBOY
Advantages: looks good, fast and nicely designed
Disadvantages: quiet loud
just moved address and these sort of things i like to buy new so went shopping and saw this one. nice looking kettle- stainless steel with black plastic handle and lid. the base is rubber that grips well to the surface. As i am left handed and most the other people in my family are right the 360 base that it sits on is handy. there is a water messurer underneath the handle, strange place but shows up well, the switch is also underneath that and has ...

Kenwood SJ526, the sexiest kettle on Planet Earth
Review of Kenwood SJ526 by
littlexen
Advantages: Looks unique, affordable, boils water quickly, safe, hidden element. viewing window
Disadvantages: None
...boring everyday water.
The Kenwood SJ526, hardly the sexiest name I've heard for a domestic appliance has taken pride of place on my kitchen worktop for over 6 months and was presented by my mother in-law as a house warming gift. For £22.99 she had chosen in my opinion the most beautiful and stylish kettle around.
To describe the entire unit as cordless is a little misleading, as there is a need for a power supply and this is directed from the ... ...a new kettle that would look good in a modern kitchen, or to match existing silver or chrome appliances I would strongly recommend the very sexy Kenwood SJ526 to you. It boils water very quickly, looks unique, has a large water capacity, is safe and won't cost you the Earth. ...

kenwood k630
Review of Kenwood SK630 by
kK84
Advantages: sleek, quick and quiet
Disadvantages: gets dirty easily
I've had my kenwood kettle for about a month now after finally deciding to shell out and buy one that didn't have 'value' in the name. I'm really glad I bought it, its great- qiuet when boiling, really quick to boil and looks sleek in the kitchen. The only problem is keeping it clean as it really attracts finger marks. Pouring the water is fine but if you are boiling a lot of water you have to keep putting the kettle on a flat surface to check you ... ...it from the spout rather than take the lid of which is a bit tight. The handle is comfortable to hold and pour with. You have the option to purchase a 3 year extended warranty with it which I haven't done yet so I'm hoping it lasts longer thena year! ...

Can a kettle be worth £80?
Review of Kenwood SJ980 by
Begize
Advantages: Modern, sleek, substantial, well made, has wow factor
Disadvantages: Heavy, can be pricey
...as if by magic, the Kenwood EON kettle and toaster jumped out at me shouting "buy us, we're half price at Boots".
So I did.
What's the kettle like then?
Overall it looks fantastic and certainly made people at work go "wow" when I took it out of the box, so much so that one girl immediately went on the net and ordered one for herself. One of my other colleagues said it was definately a "boys" kettle and wished he'd bought one himself when he did ... ...can overheat but I'm sure Kenwood have thought of that.
So far, so good.
Don't believe some of the manufacturers bumpf though, it's not "ultra quiet", our existing cheap plastic kettle is easily quieter. It also made such a noise when boiling the "minimum" 200ml water I paniced and clicked it off.
The water gauges are very hard to read and even when the kettle was half full seemed to only show a small amount of water at the bottom. Also the illuminated ...

The colour changing beep machine
Review of Kenwood SJM 350 by
CaptainKidd
Advantages: rapid boiling , feature laden
Disadvantages: none
Kenwood SJM350 aka Kenwood Response Kettle
Having dropped our glass Morphy Richards Illuma Jug Kettle , I was despatched to buy a replacement . I was in a hurry , so chose Argos as my only point of call . A quick glance through the in-store catalogue and I was left with a choice of two , so I weighed up their pro's and con's of each and decided to opt for the Kenwood SJM350 aka Kenwood Response Kettle , which retails at £34.99 ( Argos cat. no. 422-9942 ... ...kettles were simplistic , you either had a whistler that was used on a gas hob or an electric variant - always steel finished , always corded and with an on/off switch .
Nowadays manufacturers have brought the humble kettle up to date and this kettle is in the forefront when it comes to features , just look at these :
1) 1.7 ltr. capacity - brushed metal casing.
2) 3 kw concealed element and rapid boil
3) Jug type , with easy pour spout and fillable ...
