I've had my kenwood kettle for about a month now after finally deciding to shell out and buy one that didn't have 'value' in the name. I'm really glad I bought it, its great- qiuet when boiling, really quick to boil and looks sleek in the kitchen. The only problem is keeping it clean as it really attracts finger marks. Pouring the water is fine but if you are boiling a lot of water you have to keep putting the kettle on a flat surface to check you ...

Don't believe some of the manufacturers bumpf though, it's not "ultra quiet", our existing cheap plastic kettle is easily quieter.
