kenwood k630
Review of Kenwood SK630 by
kK84
Advantages: sleek, quick and quiet
Disadvantages: gets dirty easily
I've had my kenwood kettle for about a month now after finally deciding to shell out and buy one that didn't have 'value' in the name. I'm really glad I bought it, its great- qiuet when boiling, really quick to boil and looks sleek in the kitchen. The only problem is keeping it clean as it really attracts finger marks. Pouring the water is fine but if you are boiling a lot of water you have to keep putting the kettle on a flat surface to check you ... ...it from the spout rather than take the lid of which is a bit tight. The handle is comfortable to hold and pour with. You have the option to purchase a 3 year extended warranty with it which I haven't done yet so I'm hoping it lasts longer thena year! ...

Kettle
Review of Kenwood SK896 by
gryner
Advantages:
Disadvantages:
...many before I saw a Kenwood kettle for £12.49.
Now this seemed far too cheap for something with a good name but the kettle wasn't a flashy, modern design. It was plain white plastic. There were no shiny gizmos, whistles or bells on it. I thought perhaps it was an end of line bargain, especially as there were only two boxes on the display, so I had a closer look.
Inside the kettle is an opaque plastic container with a space to fit a water filter ... ...a 2 litre capacity but Kenwood recommend you only fill it to 1.7 litres, which seems plenty for everyday use.
Polished element to reduce scale build-up: This is great. So easy to clean.
360 degree power base: I think this means you can put it where you want so it's conveniently placed for right or left handed users.
Free Aqua Optimate water cartridge: Yes. It did include one and very good it was too.
Flip lid/illuminated switch for single handed ...

Excellant Value
Review of Kenwood SK960/SK950 by
tokenxx
Advantages: 360degree base, designed to reduce limscale buildup
Disadvantages: No water level marker, only a 'max' level inside the kettle
...If you are familiar with Kenwood products, no doubt you'll be familiar with their 'manuals'. For those of you who don't know i would really descirbe them as a leaflet, which covers 'safety', 'know your Kenwood stainless steel kettle', 'to use you stainless steel kettle', 'care and cleaning' and 'service and customer care' along with a little diagram with labels to point out the various parts of the appliance.
Certainly the 'safety' section is quite ... ...to do before using your kettle for the first time. The rest of the sections have some useful tips on how to use your kettle so that it lasts a long time. The final section gives contact details in the event of requiring a repair and guarantee details.
What it's like to Use
--------------------------
With it's rapid boil facility it boils water much quicker than most kettles i've used (obviously more water takes longer). The 360 base means it is ...

Kenwood Kettle SK996
Review of Kenwood SK996 by
mars7
Advantages: Quick boil, easy to lift because of the traditional shape.
Disadvantages: Lid could easier to open .
I purchased this Kenwood SK996 approximately about three
months ago because our Russell Hobbs Montana was leaking at the base.
We went back to a classical shape which is easier to lift when full.
The Kenwood is much quieter when bringing to the boil than the Russell Hobbs Montana.
The lid could be easier to remove but it has a good knob to grip hold of with your hand round the handle.
I found the clear duel windows easy to read the amount of ...

Bunny Boiler
Review of Kenwood JK340 by

Advantages: An adequate kettle of fish
Disadvantages: It doesn't sing Frank Sinatra
So..I needed a kettle and so off I trotted to John Lewis department store in search an appliance that heated water. And then a beautiful sales assistant popped up from nowhere, "aren't you a dashing young individual (must have been my plaid trousers!) ! How can I help you?" she whispered wistfully in my left ear hole. I explaind my predicament to her and she got all hot under her collar! She swept me up like an onion and carried me down, deep down ... ...my eyes, was the very kettle I had been longing for. Artic white laquer glistened like a moon in a jam jar, in the florescent light. I knew there and then that this contraption had won me over. I couldnt leave without it. So with my prize in hand I led her down the aisle towards the check out.
Done and dusted I brought her home. I poured a blast of cold water into her spout, until she couldnt take any more. Brimming so she could fill my cup, the ...
