Advantages: sleek, quick and quiet
Disadvantages: gets dirty easily

I've had my kenwood kettle for about a month now after finally deciding to shell out and buy one that didn't have 'value' in the name. I'm really glad I bought it, its great- qiuet when boiling, really quick to boil and looks sleek in the kitchen. The only problem is keeping it clean as it really attracts finger marks. Pouring the water is fine but if you are boiling a lot of water you have to keep putting the kettle on a flat surface to check you ...

I purchased this Kenwood SK996 approximately about three months ago because our Russell Hobbs Montana was leaking at the base. We went back to a classical shape which is easier to lift when full. The Kenwood is much quieter when bringing to the boil than the Russell Hobbs Montana. The lid could be easier to remove but it has a good knob to grip hold of with your hand round the handle.
