A few nights before Christmas 2005, when all through the house, not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse! There wasn't a sound from the kettle either , strange I thought I must have forgotten to switch it on. Senior moment! I checked the switch , it was on, I unplugged and replugged, I got out a screwdriver and checked the plug and tried again. No joy. Out came a saucepan and I boiled the water, but for some reason tea and coffee never taste ...
...I was busy, hubby still had my Christmas present to buy so I gave him instructions to go to Argos and buy a kettle. It could be any colour but must hold at least 1½ litres. Simple? Yes. And was it? No! Argos was busy, OK I should have thought of that! So what did he do? Disadvantages: Overpriced and sometimes noisy.

The quick cup is a great product, i like that you have instant hot water at a push of a button and that the water tank is still cool to touch. It is small enough to hide away in your kitchen and the design looks modern, it is easy to fill up the tank and easy to operate. The tefal quick cup heats up the water fast but I have found it sometimes to be inconsistent in the temperature of the water, although I think it is still hot enough. The tefal quick cup does occasionally spit the water but it doesn't spill much of the water. I haven't used the room temperature water option so can not comment on it. A very well made made jug kettle. The good points are the central locator on the base,ideal for left and right handed couples,the level viewing window on both sides of the kettle also ideal.. The kettle is well balanced and has a perfect pouring spout,just like a teapot.
