Advantages: Fast Boiling Kettle
Disadvantages: Short Power Cable
I recently bought this kettle at Comet for £24.99. It has a maximum capacity of 1.7L and has levels clearly indicated up the side. It is a cordless kettle which sits neatly on top of the power source. The element is fully concealed within the inside base of the kettle. One point which may be seen from the diagram is that the kettle is a white thick plastic but then with a more transparent plastc rim round the handle and spout which I think looks ... ...water filter inside the kettle which can be replaced however, I removed it as it made the water taste strange therefore ruined my tea! An imortant downside is the short power cable - meaning the kettle has to be positioned quite near the socket. An important advantage is that at 3000 watts it boils water very quickly. ...

Advantages: sleek and stylish easy to use handle
Disadvantages: surface easily marked
I PURCHASED THIS GORGEOUS KETTLE LAST MONTH AND HAVENT LOOKED BACK SINCE. ITS SO FUNCTIONAL ON ITS SWIVEL BASE AND BOILS IN A RECORD TIME WHICH I JUST FIND FANTASTIC WHEN YOU ARE IN A HURRY.
IT IS THE ULTIMATE CHOICE FOR ANYONE WISHING TO MIX STYLE WITH FUNCTION. THE HANDLE IS EASY TO GRIP AND IT DOESNT SEEM TO HEAVY EVEN WHEN FULL. MOST OF THE OTHER STAINLESS STEEL KETTLES I HAVE HAD BEFORE, ARE AS HEAVY AS HOUSE BRICKS WHEN FULL THIS WAS SO PLEASENTLY ...

Fancy a cuppa?
Review of Philips HD4666/20 Stainless Steel by

Advantages: Quick boil, Large capacity, Looks good, Not too expensive
Disadvantages: Metal casing can get a bit hot
...Also, with a brand like Philips I expected quality that would last.
We purchased it there and then for £25.47 and it came with a one year warranty. When we took it home to try it out we were pleasantly surprised. The kettle holds 1.7 Litres so more than enough to make teas/coffees when you have guests. The kettle also boils really quickly - when full it takes 3 minutes 58 seconds to boil and this gives you 6 large mugs of boiling water.
The kettle ... ...the window there is the philips logo and the wording 3000W. I don't normally like branding on items but this is discrete enough that you hardly notice it.
The rest of the kettle (including the base) is made up of sturdy black plastic. I don't know how to describe this better but it looks good and not cheap and nasty, which is what I always think of when someone mentions plastic. The lid has a scooped out section where you can open it to fill the ...

Advantages: reliable with no faults
Disadvantages: only allowed a certain amount of water
this kettle is a very reliable product that i had purchased over 6 months ago and still it is running with absolutely no problems. i would reccommend this product for all those who love their tea, coffee or even to fill up their water bottles. ive found that there are no safety faults within the kettle which i had found with my previous kettle and still can see the scars. i have purchased over 4 kettles within the last year and this one has been ...

Philips Jug Kettle
Review of Philips HD4662 by
thespurs
Advantages: Looks great, good price, made by Philips
Disadvantages: Does get some limescale build-up
---Introduction---
I have reviewed every electrical product and appliance in our flat, except for our kettle. This review will complete the set and there will be no more such reviews from me *sobs*. The kettle that I'm reviewing, is rather suprisingly made by Philips. My family has had it for a while and we have been very pleased with the usage we have had from it. I will try and give as detailed an account as possible, without boring you with silly ... ...regular jug kettle. It is 2400 Watts so it's pretty powerful. It has a gauge along the side that indicates the level of water inside the kettle. It has a maximum capacity of up to three pints, which is the equivalent to one and a half litres. There is an anti-scale filter fitted, but this doesn't completely prevent a little bit of build-up. The kettle is cordless and is placed backed on the base unit which is connected to the mains to heat up the ...
