Advantages: stylish, easy pick up handle, Disadvantages: very thin plastic on off switch
...on the lid. I think Russell Hobbs should be aware that this on off switch is prone to snapping.
Please avoid this product at £39.99 it cost my pensioner mother over £10 a month for boiling water. I need some really good glue as I lost the receipt and the shop will not refund or exchange. Beware buy this item and keep your receipt as the chances are you will need it.
This is the worst item that I have ever bought. ...

Advantages: Stylish and modern Disadvantages: Poor quality, and short life!
Oh Dear!
Having been bought this kettle for a Xmas pressie at first we were very pleased as it was stylish and went with our new kitchen. Then within in 2 months its stopped working - but went back and replaced it as it was under guarantee.
Now 18 months later it started to leak from the base and the spout , the seals had gone! and it had to go. It always dribbled from the spout, which was annoying and needed cleaning all the time as it marked. ... ...I suppose. Also the filter inside broke with in a year. Just very disappointed that a basic item such as a kettle didnt last longer. Have looked at reviews on other web sites and see Im not alone in thinking this is a poor quality item.
Have just bought a cheap M&S one - still noisy - we will see how long this one lasts! ...

Advantages: Fast, stylish, tidy and clean. Disadvantages: None.
Russell Hobbs 1.7 litres 3kw capacity. I loved the style of it when I saw it in Woolworths and as I was buying a Russell Hobbs toaster at the same time I thought why not get an electric kettle with a matching style.
The box had a life sized picture and a simple description 1.7 litre cordless kettle. 3 kw power with storage for the flex. There were 4 items in the box
The base came with a tidy wrap around gadget for storing the flex and plug. The ... ...slack less chance of catching or snagging). The kettle sits on the base and swivels around easily when not heavy with water. The lid fits easily but if you try to pull it off with one hand the kettle swivels underneath unless ful of water. There is a filter that slots easily in to the spout. This also prevents spills and steam pouring out the spout.
I filled up the kettle with water. It took 8 mugs. I switched it on. A small red light came on to ...

I recently purchased this Russell Hobbs kettle from Currys for £19.99 as my old Cook Works one finally gave up after a 3 years of hard work.
This kettle is available from most electrical outlets and comes in a white or silver finish.

This kettle ... ...boil when full, which is 1.7 litres or 6 average sized cups.
It has a 3 Kw element which is quite a low one as I have seen kettle with a 5 Kw element which means they use more electric.
It’s cordless so it is perfect for my little kitchen as my cups and coffee are kept the other side of the room to the kettle so one it’s boiled I can easily take it to the cups. It has storage underneath for the cord so if you only need a short length of cord you ...

Advantages: 360 degree base with cord storage, removable filter, sleek design, flip lid and 1.7l capacity Disadvantages: heavy when full
...in the satin range by Russell Hobbs. It cost me £34.99 and up to now worth every penny. It doesn't seem to have a rapid boil system but looks great in my kitchen. It has a small round base that doesn't stand out a mile (looks like part of the actual jug), It has a stylish handle that almost looks like a door handle turned on its side lol. The only thing i find slightly frustrating is that the water indicator is under the handle but it doesn't cause ... ...how heavy it is when it's full. It has a lid release button to open the lid and it springs back when pressed but not all the way so it doesn't come off the hinges lol. Well not quite sure what else to write but at the moment very pleased with my purchase. It states on the box that it has 3kw rapid boil but don't think its that "rapid". One last thing that I nearly forgot is that it also has a dry-boil cut-out safety feature which is reassuring for ...
