Having been bought this kettle for a Xmas pressie at first we were very pleased as it was stylish and went with our new kitchen. Then within in 2 months its stopped working - but went back and replaced it as it was under guarantee.
Now 18 months later it started to leak from the base and the spout , the seals had gone! and it had to go. It always dribbled from the spout, which was annoying and needed cleaning all the time as it marked. ... ...I suppose. Also the filter inside broke with in a year. Just very disappointed that a basic item such as a kettle didnt last longer. Have looked at reviews on other web sites and see Im not alone in thinking this is a poor quality item.
Have just bought a cheap M&S one - still noisy - we will see how long this one lasts! ...

Not being a tea or coffee drinker, I don’t use a kettle very much so when my gas hob kettle broke after many years of service I was looking for a more economical one as t’other one used to take an age to boil on the gas and one that blended in to my kitchen without breaking the bank!

The kettle is a good shape, relatively streamline and blended in well with the rest of the new(ish) kitchen. It is easy to fill from either the spout or by pressing a button at the top the lid flips open. The push down ‘on’ switch is near the base of the kettle, just under the handle.
