This left-handed keyboard fulfils a long felt need and provides the most convenient layout for people who are naturally left-handed. The individual mechanical key switching provides the audible tactile click feel and bounce characteristics, which are so much sought after by users. The design also maintains the ergonomic key positioning required in modern offices and makes the KBC-3500B a real pleasure to use. A must for those entering figures all day.
Advantages: No more painful letter writing!!! Disadvantages: Takes a bit of getting used to!
...As a long term sufferer of RSI (Repetitive Strain Injury) and Health and Safety co-ordinator for my company I found myself recommending this keyboard for all PC users in our group. Everybody groaned but in fairness, if I can see the benefit of these shaped keyboards then others should at least give it a whirl.
This is the second 'natural' or ergonomic keyboard purchased for me and, although they appear to be difficult to use, if the hands are placed correctly i.e resting on the wrist rest either side of the centre space bar, then all of the QWERTY keys are within easy reach.
The KeyboardCompanyKBC5300 has a split keyfield - this means that where on a normal keyboard the keys run straight across - on this model the keys are split in half with a gap in the middle - therefore the figure 6 and letters TGB and all figures and letters...

Advantages: Flexible, spill resistant Disadvantages: Need flat surface, may stop working
...I bought this keyboard because I thought it would be ideal to carry around to connect to terminals and machines without a decent keyboard, like servers and laptops. I also used it for my Xbox 360 to speed up typing things in. It served me very well for quite a while. Although it takes up more room than you might imagine once rolled up, infact a normal mini keyboard might fit in things like bags better because it's flat.
I found it very useful that it was waterproof and acid resistant as spills on it could just be wiped off.
However some places I used it did not have a decent hard flat surface. On surfaces that aren't hard and flat, like carpets, mats, on your lap etc... this keyboard is extremely difficult to use.
It's not easy to break however, at least by snapping etc.. that's the benefit of it being flexible of course. Although...

Advantages: Virtually indestructable Disadvantages: Difficult and uncomfortable to use
...A strange device, this. It's essentially a moulded sheet of silicone rubber with the layout of a standard desktop keyboard. This provides two main advantages, which the manufacturers of this and similar devices are quick to push: firstly, it can withstand spillages, grit and all the other nasty things that tend to finish off regular keyboards (and, for laptop users, sometimes entire computers) because the electronics are entirely sealed off, and secondly, it can be rolled up for extra portability. This latter option is of limited application: the keyboard really needs a flat surface to be used effectively, as placed on the lap it will just drape uselessly, so unless you are moving between desks there's very little use in taking it with you. The former, however, is tremendously useful, especially for laptop users like me who risk frying...

So.. how do you write a review on a keyboard? Obvious puns aside, I'll try.
I was looking for a backlit keyboard for my work years ago, but all the ones I seen then where indeed lit from behind, but the light did not shine through the letters... more

The Razer Tarantula is a keyboard aimed at the PC gaming community. The first thing you may see about it is the price. It is, simply monstrous. I will, however, come back to this later in the review.
